I was looking for something like this. Thank you . Van der Hoorn looks pathetic in that Vitesse goal. It seems FdB is planning to depend on him as his 2nd option for the right CB. He may be ok for Eredivisie , but he will definitly be a big trouble in CL in case Veltman gets suspended or injured.
Kind of wonder why Tete is not used as sub for Veltman/van Rhijn. That right side from Ajax currently is and accident waiting to happen. Ligeon and van der Hoorn. That is an open invitation for defensive horror. Ligeon does have a nice cross, but one can not build on one such quality for a whole position. He does not cut it. I somehow think that Frank wants to justify his 4 million spending on van der Hoorn. Which is human, but Ajax philosophy was youth over purchases in case of equal quality. Tete might even be better than van der Hoorn or in any case guarantees minute investment in a player with the potential to reach the level that is required to play in the Ajax first team. I am still waiting for the first oke game from van de Hoorn, where he did not do something stupid. He is now at the club for more than a year. As good as the judgement to not buy Maher is about to become (he could still lift his game at PSV), as bad this purchase is.
Yup , Tete could be an interesting option instead of Ligeon. It also seems FdB is not thinking of using Bazoer in the right CB position , which should enhance Tete's chances of getting some minutes in this position. Even if Tete makes his share of mistakes due to lack of experience , He won't be really worse than VdHoorn , and it will help him to be mature by the next season. Look at Brenet's case with PSV. He was a real disaster last season and now he looks much more mature "I watched him for only one game though". It also seems FdB is totally finished with Danswil. Last year he would use him on the left and shift Moisander to the right CB. Frank has an exciting way managing players with mental flops like Danswil.
Denswil does not only suffer from mental lapses, he is also simply not a very good footballer. He might have been a better footballer than Veltman in the youth or just in general one of the best, but reality now is that his cross passes always go wrong. Against Utrecht last season 4 cross passes in a row went wrong for him. Beek from Feyenoord has a much better cross pass than Denswil and Beek is advertised as a so called "simple"footballer. Or so I saw him saying that in an interview some time ago. Denswil needs to show now why people touted him as a great footballing defender. Apart from his football quality one could question his professionalism. Smart decision making outside the field, the people he hangs around with, the dedication and work he puts into his profession. Blind is a great example in this. Just 2 years ago people laughed at the prospect him ever reaching the Dutch NT. Now he is named in a possible move to United/Barca. A lot of that has to do with his professionalism. Brenet is for me a case with red flags though. One could look away from his defensive flops and misjudgments on the field, ascribe it to youth, but he often hits a really low level concerning these things. If I were a PSV fan I would be really happy with the return of Arias. I am not big on Brenet.

Part of the reason why Promes was sold to a Russian club. Maybe thé reason why he was sold. Ola John left weird as well. Promes said so many times he wanted to stay, then he moves to Russia. The money is good in these circles, also for the players, but that collides at times with the development interest of a player. Actually quite some FC Twente talents are financed with Doyen, who have a 25% stake in some of their players. Bilal Ould Chikh IIRC also. The next one that could be financed is Ziyeck, a promising Dutch attacking midfielder. Is FC Twente a threat to Dutch talents? Does their way of financing players not bring these players into a system/circuit that then pushes them to whatever place comes up with the most money to get Doyen their maximum money back?
These groups are no different from venture capitalists who fund start up companies in the high technology area. They make deals for a percentage of the stock in the company or in this case a percentage of the player's value. Most of the ones I've seen are with South American players who likely come from economically disadvantaged families and are quick to sign contracts in return for money. I thought that some of the Euro country FAs were taking action against these types of contracts though it's difficult for me to understand how they would do so. As you, I don't like these types of agreements but I suspect they are legal and it's usually the player who may suffer in the end depending on how these contracts are structured. Is super-agent Mino Raiola much different?
Depay's form reminds me with Sneijder with Ajax prior to his move to RM. 2 Eredivisie games with four goals and three assists , Plus 1 Europa league game with one goal and one assist. Absolutely Impressive. Also Wijnaldum looks really great. He improved his scoring ability and off-ball movement. LvG must has something to do with that . Hope both of them can keep up this form and stay with PSV this season. Their aim should be going far in EL and win Eredivisie title.
Totally agree, Depay is a hell of a player. Also it seems that Wijnaldum has improve a lot in the CM position, of course LVG put his trade in him. Maybe the Depay-Wijnaldum combo will be vital for us in the short run (EC 2016). I only regret that Willems missed the WK, that could have been a great advantange in his developpment. Lets see if he can regain his form and improve in the defense department

Ligeon & Shone/El Ghazi vs ... Who's their LB?? Ligeon defending Depay could be disastrous, but on the other hand, Depay not tracking Ligeon back could be disastrous as well
More so as he will find giant killer Tamata patrolling the left back area for PSV. Sounds like we have a typical Eredivisie game on our hands: Just attack with everything you got, as defense will not save you.

Three draws and a sole win by PSV today in EL action. At least all the clubs started their strongest lineups.
With the recent departures, Heerenveen will now rely on the next wave of youth players and new transfer arrivals. Sinkgraven is the top prospect who has the versatility to cover several attacking positions but I think his skillset is best suited in CAM as Ziyech's replacement. Slagveer and Wildschut are now the main wingers. New signing Sam Larsson from IFK Göteborg will also be counted on. Norwegian U19 central midfielder Morten Thorsby is another interesting talent who was already a starter for Stabeak IF. Jeroen Lumu has also just joined on free transfer.
Just some notes from the games I saw yesterday: Vilhena's football ability is not developing as I thought. Some time ago I rated his ceiling and that of Maher as the highest of a new generation. Both have dipped for me. Vilhena is younger and it shows slightly less as there are others in his team to make him look good in contrast with, but it shows nevertheless. Where are his well weighted passes? Why is he doing all the football with 1 foot. Such an one footed player. Scoring ability? What was that with the header? Previous game that shot from the 18 yard box straight on the keeper. I want to focus on his football though. He can't dribble past opponents and when pressured he kind of loses the plot and needs an option or otherwise he will lose the ball. He lacks the trickery and shielding to keep a ball longer with him. Good players can delay play, but It is a worry with him. At the same time it looks like he is growing towards fulfilling his high octane 8 position. However that might go at the cost of a thing I rate higher. His ability to play football. Maher scored, but I was frowning with that moment where he could launch Locadia after a 1-2, but then chose to pass it back. What is up with Maher's creativity? What is the matter with him in general, but even the thing he should excel in, he does not do anymore. No creativity what so ever. His goal was more of a sign that something is not right. His corners and shooting is just plain poor. I have a feeling that PSV will keep investing in him as there is a financial incentive to do so, but playing Hendrix and Hiljemark behind Wijnaldum might actually be much better for PSV long term. Too bad Dutch clubs did not go for more wins away. Looks like they play opponents they can beat and Eredivisie needs the points. Pundits on Fox in their post game comments said that a draw in an away game is good, but we must also look at the quality of the opposition and have some sense that there must be some compensation for the previous 2 seasons. I don't understand how there is not more discussion on TV or here about this development of Depay moving constantly to center and try to make plays from there. Either give a well weighted pass, dribble or setting up 1-2's. It's a joy to have there somebody who can do all kinds of things.
Actually , both Maher and Vilhena don't have the right mentality. After being dropped from LvG preliminary squad prior to the WC , Vilhena said "I play for the u21 team and this is a great achievement already to my age" . This statement shows how and what the guy thinks of himself. You'll never hear such a thing from Rekik or Depay for instance , who are almost as old as Vilhena. Actually I am sure Rekik was disappointed he didn't go with the team to Brazil. Rekik said recently that being a part of Oranje squad in the Euro is his priority no 1. Depay said after his goal in Australia that he promised his grand-ma during the 2010 world cup "which means that he had 16 years old back then" that he will score for Oranje in Brazil after four years. This is the spirit that Oranje players should always have. I don't care about losers , no matter how talented they are.
