No shot intended on the Arsenal comment. (Inside joke) sorry.

Villegas turned down The Strongest final offer. After he turned down Oriente Petroleros offer earlier last week. It seems like he is making himself available for the NT Manger. I like Villegas but I don't know if he is what we need.

Speaking of Arrascaita I wanna see him play against Greece, I think he could do some damage.

Too bad we're watching form home. When I saw that guy form one of the African teams crying during his national anthem, god dam it I wanted to cry thinking, when the hell am I gonna hear my national anthem at the World Cup again. I would sing the entire thing, at work or a bar, in the car or hopefully at the stadium(Dr Seuz ).I would scream our goals till I can't talk any more, I wouldn't stop cheering them on for one second. Oh well another 4 years, but really less because of the eliminatorias. We're off to our usual great start, no coach.

I don't see it happening in 4 years either. My only sense of hope is to see my national team in the world cup some time before I die.

Regular Copa america will be in Chile in 2015. Special celebration of 100 years Copa América with Concacaf+Conmebol will be in USA in 2016. At least thats what i remember reading...i could be wrong.

Correct. It's the Centennial tournament in celebration of 100 uears of of the copa america.

The problem is, will it be a FIFA date? That hasn't been released yet.

Here is more on the possible friendlies coming up. They say Azkargorta will stay on for them, IMO that's counterproductive.if we know he's not in for the long run then why waste the precious time and games that our next coach can use to build the team? I would like him to stay, but that's not likely. At any rate it'll still be fun to see them in the US, I believe our game has improved in the last few games. Just need to change the mentality of just going through the motions, and step out to win the game.

Probably becuse they don't have anyone they really want yet.

He's on there as a band-aid. IF not him, than who?? A 'interim coach'? I rather have our old coach stay around til we find a new one--not a step in guy until we find someone.

True .... Band-aid, I wouldn't want anyone as an interim either. What's worse I have no idea who could possibly take over and improve on what has been done. All our Bolivian candidates have a team, so that leaves us looking outside. Someone coming from another country will no doubt want big money.

What about Bora? This team would be a project he might be interested in.

I heard something during the World Cup that Bora is getting paid big money by the people in Dubai to help promote and coordinate their World Cup in 2022. Pretty sure that puts him out of out league $$$$$$.

    How about Hoyos?

He did a pretty good job at promoting youth to Bolivar. He has similar mentality in utilizing youth over experience with the teams he played, and played ultra attacking which is something we can handle I think. I'd like to see him for the NT, but I am not sure we can afford what he'd ask. I think Bigoton was earning something around 300ish USD yearly. Hoyos at Bolivar was 500k--he'd at least want that.

Hoyos would be one of a few that I feel comfortable with. He already know our league, he proved to be a good stimulator and mentor.
