You actually think I give a rat's ass about "explaining" anything to you? As far as the e-Penis comment goes, which I thought was a good one, talk about the pot calling the kettle black.....

The guys who were here throughout the Götze thing know when I did what.

Now that we have gone through this, I can say that since the Götze thing never actually crossed my mind in that response to you, maybe it is you who is worried about the size of his e-penis? I said what I said because I truly believe there are times you do need to STFU. And this has nothing to do with any e-penis. It has to do with my thinking that sometimes you're just a think you know it all, cyber-jerk-off who is helping to ruin what used to be a decent place to exchange actual facts and knowledge.

I know better than to actually literally concern myself with you. Motha focka please! LMAO!

Carry on bossing the thread. ;) :D

Back on topic.... regardless of how Hummels feels, I would play him sparingly at the onset of the season..... he's simply too valuable.

    ^^

agreed. He needs a good rest, hasn't he developed tendinitis in the knee? If so, then absolutely will need to sit out games against lower league teams etc. Which is why the Ginter transfer is really important.

    Tendinitis? He's in his mid-20s. That's terrible.

The Daily Mail started this rumour. I haven't found any German source confirming this so far.

I've had it in my knee before, and the only true cure is rest. It can be extremely painful, and it's best to just get the rest you need so it doesn't linger.

Hey guys, glad to be back!

For those who didn't know or don't care to follow the world outside their fav club, Germany is world champions!
Mario Götze (formerly known as "bieber boy", "the one who shall not be named", "traitor", and "G-spot slut") scored a winning goal against Argentina in the final.

Looking forward to an exciting season, the treble is certainly ours this time!

Could someone post our upcoming schedule for non-league play? Friendlies, super-cup, Pokal?

He'll always be known as those things. Football fans are very fickle. If Germany underperform at the Euros (read that as don't win) the team will get crucified.

Always forget these sorts of threads. When I look through my watched thread list, I wonder why there's no discussion of the Gïnter signing in the "BVB General Discussion Thread 2013-2014", forgetting that we probably have a new thread for the new season.

    *sighs theatrically*

Well, I'm on board now. :D

So the following didn't get a run at the WC:

    Durm, Weidenfeller, Ginter and KG?

Weidenfeller was never going to get a sniff of playing time unless A. Neuer sucked big-time, which didn't happen and he had a marvellous tourney, B. Neuer got injured. Not mad about him. Gïnter was young and a little inexperienced, although in hindsight he may have been better off the bench than Mustafi. Großkreutz shot himself in the foot with his recent controversy before heading to Brazil, but Durm I'm pretty pissed about. Höwedes ranged from solid to awful, and Durm, CL quarterfinalist starting LB, doesn't get a nick, even in sixty minutes of Brazil match garbage time, of playing time. Travesty.

Hopefully. We still have some haters in the German NT forum, hoping he can prove all of them wrong. Also, hopefully Klopp gives him an actual shot at dethroning Schmelzer.

yeah I didn't expect Weidenfeller to get a chance, Neuer is an absolute mountain beast, some of his saves were astonishing. Ginter too I didn't expect to see much of. But KG and Durm should have been given chances, atleast a freakin run on so that they legitimately feel part of a winning squad. But yeah, Iwould have started either KG or Durm on the left in place of Hoewedes, who I think had a decent tournament. I think it's weak to not give KG a chance because of past discretions, by all accounts he behaved very well while over there.

I also maintain that Germany won in spite of Loew. I don't like him, never have and never will, he's a dick head.

"He has no left foot", "he was a liability for Dortmund", "people only like him better than Schmelzer because he appears to play with more 'elegance'", "he got benched by Schmelzer when Marcel came back, he's not getting another chance". Go over there if you're curious.

    Agreed on all accounts.

I think he did all right, he was actually pretty competent this time. Nothing groundbreaking or brilliant, but competent.

I think he was incompetent in putting Lahm in the middle, not playing with proper full backs and only bringing one striker. But they won, so he will get a contract extension which is great as the DFB won't try and lure Klopp who is more valuable to BVB than any creative player or striker

I don't think the Lahm issue was a mistake, it was simply a matter of neither Khedira or Schweini being fit enough to play that DM role for extended minutes. That forced his hand imho.

Back to BVB - Durm still needs some time to develop and mature, so I'm actually very happy we have both him and Schmelzer in that LB role. I'm just hoping JK starts to rotate Durm in more regularly.
