    Agreed Higuain should have made it 1-0 1st half Argentina!

    Then Messi should have made it 2-0 2nd half for Argentina!

    And Palacios should have scored in OT!

    Took Germany almost 120 minutes to find the back of the net.

    The SUPERIOR TEAM did not win this game Argentina failed to capitalize on 3 golden
    opportunities and should have won this game.

    Shoulda' Woulda' Coulda'. Hallmarks of a losing team. And I mean no disrespect to them; on the contrary, they gave a valiant effort. But "should have" is not sufficient to claim superiority.

    Negative.

    Romero did similar in the first half but no-one mentioned it because Klose did not run into him. Both Mascherano and Aguero should have seen red at the bare minimum.

    Correct, very good player, but on this stage, simply not top notch. I will take Mueller or Van Persie ten times over Messi.

    Kind of stupid to give Messi a pity Golden Ball. It's meaningless to him and it's not like he's not going to win more individual awards. It should have been given to someone who deserved it more.

    Congratulations to Germany! Well deserved win. Argentina played really well though. My heart goes out to them.

    If tournament ended after group stage, Messi deserves golden ball. Not sure how disappearing through knockout stage earns you trophy, though
