Dutch defenders can't stop dribblers if their life depended on it.

Maybe Maradonna was onto something. Robben non existed so far.

Argentina is weak through the air. Both Belgium and now Netherlands was/is not using this weakness enough.

RvP only useful so far with defending set pieces. No attacking input.

Argentina perfectly smother all lanes and reach towards RvP and especially Robben. Very good of them. No turnover danger so far.

BMI and Kuyt have been really poor this 1st half

    Combination of previous 2 fouls.

    Martins Indi is struggling.

    Wijnaldum too.

Really lucky at the end of the half when Rojo couldn't find Higuain. Really should have been a goal. van Gaal has a tough call on Martins Indi who really looks like he's going to pick up the second Yellow. Pretty even match so far and we haven't shown any signs of breaking down the Argentina defense. van Persie still looks out of sorts. They have done a good job of defending Messi so far.

Kuyt to the left, Blind part of the 3 CB's, Janmaat to the right back position, BMI out.

Their center backs haven't done enough to get tired.

Makes the most sense as Veltman has not seen enough action to go out there in a match like this.

If they score first we are f*cked. They are very good in killing off attacks. Smothering them. Robben has been non existent, let alone RvP. Maradonna was right.

The midfield 3 need to be quicker in passing chains in between to initiate counters. They have been non existent attacking wise mostly.

The defenders have to bypass the midfield straight and Argentina win it back.

If we only will be able to score from set pieces then bring in Huntelaar. He can head a ball in. RvP is not able to advance our field play or attacks.

Yes, and we are as well. Which ever team gets the goal the match will end up 1-0

Wijnaldum has done nothing except pass sideways and backwards.

I remember a thread on here when a poster suggested he could be our future no. 10. Funny.

The real big gamble would be to go 4-3-3 but that would play into Messi's hands.

Yup been thinking the same. Our D hasn't been too bad apart from BMI but I'm worried they will break.

FIFA is so behind the times re concussion protocol. Mascherano should probably be off the pitch - for his sake
