The weirdest thing about the match tonight are the stats

Brazil had more shots, more shots on target and more posession. Also fewer fouls (11-14). Cesar also made fewer saves but I'm not sure that 's a good stat given the circumstances :)

Respect to Brazil for keeping the fouls so low, especially given the humiliation they suffered, many other teams might have lashed out in frustration. Only David Luiz was close to losing his head once.

@Pipiolo , you Argies now better include Kroos and Schuerrle in your football chants for the next 100 years :)

Football is not that simple and linear
Holland of course can beat Argentina and certainly can lose
I have seen enough World Cups to learn that previous games frequently mean little.

There are moments in the World Cup that will never be forgotten. It doesn't happen every World Cup... but they happen. The last two were Escobar's own goal and Zidane's headbutt. I am nearing 30 and it may be a long long time before Brazil hosts again, but when they do, This will be the memory that will prevail.

Top class opposition.....Chile and Spain proved not to be that, and Mexico and Costa Rica are not as good as Swiss and Belgium

Yeah, they love statistics and those are frequently senseless in football
They have cultural drawbacks to really dig this game.

As a child, i dreamed about the brazil football, Romario, B
Stats are stats, like i always say "according to stats, every fifth person is a chinese, but do you see any chinese here?" ;-) The game was over after 30 Minutes, the Germans did not need to do anything for the match anymore. That is why the stats are like that.

    1. Why does Low use 4 CB's in his back line most of the time? What happened to Durm, Schmelzer, and Grosskruetz?

About riots, unfortunately things are starting to look ugly around here...

People are burning stuff in São Paulo, there have been arrests in Rio and in Belo Horizonte and some fighting in Salvador.

Schmelzer did not play well the last games and Großkreutz and Durm are not really Defensive Players. They are learned Forwards. We have a lack of quality and expierince at the moment on the wings in the Defense. Lahm is maybe the only one who has the quality.

    Of course
Basketball is very different because you score a lot more and the statistics almost always coincide with the winner

Like I said there are other videos. But you can't say he doesn't dive when there is evidence to the contrary.

Because Loew is Loew and thinks he's great. ;) Cannot answer your question. Many German fans are asking the same thing.

4... We don't need 4... 2 will do just fine. Save the rest (best) for the final.

Congrats to Miroslav Klose - 16 goals in the world cup and what an achievement but what are the chances his strike partner, Thomas Muller goes on to beat that one day? He's got 10 goals already and is only 24... if he goes onto play @ Klose's age of 36, will play in 3 more world cups, all the way to 2026. Could see it happening...

    Read yesterday's papers....
Besides total hoofball has resulted in quite a lot of goals. We're just using the bus to get to the goal. We're not parking it.

    Thank you.

For those saying Brazilian football is dead, expect to see this kid (a jewel from Fluminense) playing as our number 10 in the next Olympic games and very likely as Neymar's teammate in 2018. I just hope Fluminense can hold him long enough.
