I don't think you have to consider playing Brazil at this point in time.

As I suspected, the stomach/intestinal problems from water and food eventually got us, now RvP might be out..

I have faith and confidence in the team after all we've seen thus far. But playing Argentina in Brazil makes me want to let the air out of the tires on their bus to the stadium.

On a positive note, it looks like Brazil finally has a budding gambling industry linked to organized crime.

I'm seeing a trend forming where we destroy all the teams that beat us in former WC finals. We did it to Spain, Germany did it to Brazil, and now it's our turn to do it to both Argentina and Germany

No idea which Netherlands team will show up vs Argentina. If the team that shows up that demolished the defending World & Euro Cup champions Spain 5-1 Netherlands will win.

If the team that struggled for 120 minutes to finish off numerous chances vs Costa Rica shows up it will be a very frustrating match for Dutch supporters. That is the big question for me as i ponder this matchup on the eve of the game. This team will always give 100% and create chances but how well will they finish vs Argentina Holland should prevail?!

As always lots of support for our close Dutch friends here in Toronto but interesting to note that there is always good support for Germany here as well. Never really understood why until i found out about 10 years ago that there are German roots here as there were several German POW camps around the Toronto area during WW2 and many German POW's after being released stayed here and started families and also many German families fled the ruins of Germany after the war to start a new life here as well.

    In Toronto Overall Support:
    1. England
    2. Italy
    3. Brasil
    4. Portugal
    5. Netherlands
    6. Germany
    7. Argentina

    GO HOLLAND GO!!

^it was great having Englad, Italy, and Portugal knocked out at the beginning, because it bumped Holland up to behind Brazil and Germany in terms of most flags. TONS of Iranians too in the GTA.

    Lucky you.

    In the US, it's
    1. Mexico
    2. England/Germany

And if they ask about Holland at all, they want to know where it is on a map.

    Win please.

And then win again in the final.

That would be a happy ending to a disastrous world cup for The Portuguese.

Hey thanks yall...yes it was sad to see Portugal & Ronaldo go out in the group stage. Ronaldo's cross to Varela was a brilliant goal one of the best @ WC2014!

Portugal will regroup/rebuild and will be back too good of a soccer country.

Not in my neck of the woods. I've been wearing my Oranje WC Kit top every morning when I go out for my walk and lots of people give me the thumbs up when they walk past. Of course my neighborhood has lots of international families and the French International School is three streets away.

Most Americans are familiar with Holland, especially if you mention Amsterdam.

Don't know if they know where it is on the map, though. You could ask a typical American to point out where Canada is and they'd have some trouble. :D

Familiar with is true. But familiar in the sense they 'had a friend who went to smoke dope in Amsterdam, etc' isn't flattering. Though occasionally(ok, yesterday) someone brings up Rik Smits!

My problem is I'm lost in a sea of Mexicans even though I live in America.
