not a big deal at all.. they will just poach another top talent from a decent team and throw money all over him and his agent.

not sure what to think of this. we overpaid for him by a good 7-10 mill but he is a nice player to have on this roster.

We have never and will never need Mkhitaryan.

We'll see after this season. Prepare to print it out and eat these words after the last game of the season.

Bayern midfielder Kroos denies he has agreed deal to join Real Madrid

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has rejected claims he has agreed a deal to join Real Madrid.

Reports in Spain earlier this week suggested a deal to bring Kroos to the Bernabeu from Bayern was all but done and would be confirmed after the World Cup.

Click here for the entire article.

But I guess I should remember Nuri Sahin lied to our faces when he denied he'd agreed to join Real when he had already f#cking done so.........

This is what I'm thinking. They'll wait until a bit after the tournament to announce it now and then say it all got done after the tournament.......

Am I the only one that thinks he's probably one of the most replaceable losses if he goes?

We win the CL without him no? And TBH...Bayern could always do what you all did with Lewy and let him go in a free, which gives us a year to find a suitable replacement. So sour grapes? Id say "Bayern Problems"

No, you are not the only one. I think Bayern will miss Kroos about as much as a person misses a pimple on their ass.

Alaba or Martinez can fill the position. Bayern can play in so many ways without Kroos.

^^With buying Bernat it actually frees Alaba for more midfield roles in the absence of Kroos

I don't think so. He was instrumental in a lot of the CL games when you guys won the title, not just that double header against Arsenal. He performed extremely well under Jupp's counter attack/possession hybrid as well as Pep's tiki taka system. He can play a high press as well as a slightly deeper press in the middle of the pitch. He can play in the no. 10 and no. 6...and I mean play well, not as a makeshift. His shooting from distance is top notch and his passing accuracy is amongst the elite. You naysayers will say that Ribery and Robben are more valuable players and that's fine. They are valuable because of guys like Kroos enable them to me. Wide midfielders and wingers don't have to change their style and approach as much as midfielders when going from a direct style to possession based style and this guy did it seamlessly. Can Thiago play in a counter attacking system? I watched him at Barcelona and the answer is no....unless it's a 3 man midfield with a superb player like Busquets next to him.

Ilkay Gundogan is the only Germany player who can play his position better than he does and that's only based on 1.5 seasons and we all know what Gundogan is likely to do in the years to come.

He is going to Madrid for a slated 20M and we could definitely do with a player like him. We paid 27.5 for Mkhitaryan!! My response to all y'all and the goddamn mgmt is:

Of course there's slight issue about being paid 10M a year, something we simply cannot afford. Sell Miki and Auba and use their salary to boost Kroos'. This is a pipe dream for a Dortmund but we didn't even try.

The only thing I'll end this comment with is - we shall see next year when he's gone. Good luck with whoever else you bring in the no. 6. Actually, I hope you guys crash and burn with or without him. Wir sind Borussia.

Kroos and his salary wontbe something BvB management should even consider remotely

Pay Kroos 10m, what they happens to loyal top performers like Hummels, Reus? What happens to Pizczec, Bender Subotic Kuba etc

You don't realize the Kroos problem at Bayern now might not be unconnected with the Gotze salary? So you want another "Gotze-salary problem" in BvB with half the team issuing a "pay me like Kroos or I walk" threat?

This is rather interesting. You're throwing my staunch Götze argument at me? I've always maintained that he left for more money. We firmly believed that he was going to be the player we built our squad around. In a way I still do despite the stark contrast in his performance compared to say Reus or even his own at Bayern this year compared to his prior years at Dortmund.

As far as Kroos is concerned, I agree with you. This is a pipe dream. I don't know how much Kroos wants from Bayern but the point remains, we didn't even try. A player with a chip on his shoulder against Bayern is exactly the kind of player we need. Maybe he could have the mentality of Hummels. Maybe he wants to stay in Germany. We have no idea because we didn't try.

It's not the transfer fee as much as what he demands in wages.

Word is that he wants as much as Lahm, Ribery, Muller, so roughly 10 million.
