I just want to watch this thread. Anyways, you want me to say something substantive? How damaging is it to Brazil to have to break up the Luiz-Silva pairing that has been great this whole tournament? That's going to be a key factor in this matchup IMO.

Germany will take this. They have a good team, been through some tough challenges, conserved their energy. Brazil will be forced to go out offensively and I think they will get taken on the counter too much. Brazil have a chance if they can nick a goal or two when they still have the energy to keep up the intense early pressure, but once the legs go German passing will have them struggling to keep up.

If they miss both Silva and Neymar I think it could even become easy for the Germans. Brazil will attack like crazy but without the precision and agility of Neymar it won't amount too much, and when the Germans break the lack of Silva will make their not too impressive defense look even worse.

Hopefully praying for his recovery, it's one thing to want to win it's another thing when a player has a broken vertebrate

I am and was hoping for Germany to advance, too bad Neymar is not able to play.

Somehow I just don't get impressed with Brazil and for sure the German team did.
With Neymar and Silva out I would be shocked if Germany failed to reach the final.

Neymar is out... Wow... Just wow... I'm not at all a fan of Neymar or this Brazil side (more of an anti-fan) but this is awful.

A Dutch fan wanting Germany to advance? Because I assume you want to beat them in the final?

They (Germany) play like most Dutch would like the Dutch team to play

That said, I dream of a final between Holland and Germany, for once I hope we win though.

Don't think you understand what a broken vertebrate is...

Man, I fell so sad for Neymar. This is a terrible injury.

I still believe Brazil can win. Oscar is not playing well because of defense duties, letting Neymar play. It's now time to play decently. And Dante can replace Silva. My main concern is about the team reaction on that injury.

Well, let's be positive... the lesser of two evils. A broken vertebra could have resulted in Neymars getting paralyzed.

I agree that oscar will have a more central role, but Neymar is not replaceable.

If brasil can't win without neymar, then they don't deserve to win the world cup. Plenty of team have suffer injury that otherwise would have propel them to advance further. If the U.S had Altidore, we could have beaten belgium and make it to the semi-final. brasilian are lucky to have been injury free this whole time. Not to mention Colombia didn't even have their best player Falcao playing in this world cup. France didn't have Ribery.
