Saw on tm that some British website is saying Chelsea hope to sell Marin back to us for 7 m. Jeeez, they're just making up some crap now. This is silly season after all.
Signing a player like Hajrovic would really highlight this summer's transfers. From what I've seen he's a top quality player. Some compare him to De Bruyne in talent. Both are creative and good scorers. Hope Eichin continues this fight for the player. I think an mid/winger like this is the biggest remaining need for next season. We've filled up other positions decently with players from free transfers. We didn't end up getting Ginczek or Zoller and I don't think we'll end up targeting another striker. Füllkrug is back and should be an option we can go with again.
I'd like to see Füllkrug integrated back with the team, but it's important he gets plenty of playing time. Bild ran an interview with Eichin where he said the club wants to extend his contract for one year and loan him for a season. St. Pauli is interested in borrowing him, a good opportunity for him there. Selke is a big talent and will likely see time in the rotation with us at certain points next season.
According to BILD Werder signs Bayern U19 goalie Ralf Husic (18 years old) for three years. Rumors say he joint for 100k €, but Bayern has a buy-out clause for more than one million €.
Not bad. Likely he'll begin as top goalie for the reserves now that Strebinger is the backup to Wolf.
From BILD, Petersen will stay next season, after putting down any speculation of him moving to Frankfurt. Meanwhile, Vaclav Pilar from Wolfsburg is mentioned as a winger we might be interested in.
According to Matt Herman and NorwegianMusings on twitter (referencing a Scottish tabloid) said that Werder is interested in signing Mix Diskerud.
http://www.weser-kurier.de/werder/p...Akpala-in-der-Warteschleife-_arid,884168.html Plans for Füllkrug and Akpala are put on hold. It is unclear whether both players will join the beginning preparations of the preseason. Akpala is still rehabbing back in Belgium. Füllkrug was mentioned to be a transfer candidate or loaned out.
He's well rounded midfield player, good at quick passes and poaching too. ceiling and floor are pretty close. I think Bild later said this was probably not going to happen so who knows
The transfer makes sense. Werder has a buy-back option and the move generates some money now and we have some promising younger players in Sellke and Kobylanski for the attack.
Lots of news on Hajrovic: http://www.weser-kurier.de/werder/profis_artikel,-FIFA-gibt-Hajrovic-gruenes-Licht-_arid,886527.html FIFA gives Hajrovic green light FIFA has granted the preliminary approval for a possible change of clubs, due to unpaid salaries with Galatasaray. http://www.kreiszeitung.de/werder-bremen/bremen-hajrovic-frei-werder-3662161.html Hajrovic free for Werder? The strong Werder-interest has long been known, but not officially confirmed yet. According to Bosnian media, Bremen are now the favorite as the new employer. Hajrovic had sued his Turkish club over unpaid salaries to force a transfer fee change. For this reason, Fifa has now apparently decided this way. However, a preliminary approval means that Galatasaray has the option to appeal. If granted this, the contract is not renewed.
Defender Muhamed Besic now also being mentioned as a transfer target. A lot of interest from clubs after playing well in the World Cup. He can play CB but covered DM for Bosnia, also given task of marking Messi during the Argentina game.
Tomorrow at 12:30 PM a press conference is announced. Weser-Kurier published in an article that Eichin will comment on Izet Hajrovic (Galatasaray). The player is under contract at Galatasaray until 2018, but has a case at the FIFA court about salary issues. http://www.weser-kurier.de/werder/p...ibt-Auskunft-ueber-Hajrovic-_arid,895117.html
The deal is confirmed now: Hajrovic signed a contract until 2018 and will be official presented in the press conference on 12:30 PM. http://www.werder.de/de/profis/news/50228.php
Nice! Good job by Eichin on completing the deal. Interested in finding out the full details of the move, whether it was a free transfer due to legal matter or not. Regardless, quality player and welcome to Werder.
According to the Kreiszeitung Werders new (assitant) sporty Rouven Schröder guided Werder to Hajrovic. He knew about Izets situation at Gala, but could not use it at his former 2. BL side Fürth.
Juventus holds some parts of the transfer right (as for close to any promising Italian talent). So i guess due to a good relation to Juve Italian press brought the name into play. I don't give the transfer big chances, but I judged the chances for a Hajrovic deal also very low. So lets see. As far as got Eichin right he tries to look for another player that could improve the team, but I did not hear any hot rumor. Which by the way is a good sign. In the last years under Allofs transfer rumor were quite early made public by the press, which was not good (other teams came into play and raised the prices). That is why I prefer quite transfers like Allofs did it in his first years and Eichin also did in his first season.
