4 straight finals is an accomplishment in itself. It was a simple heat were worst compared to last year and the spurs we're better.the Heat looked slow wade is hobbled Lebron had to carry to much of a burden. Pop out coached SPO but the PG for Miami was awful. Leonard from here on out is the best spur player that has passed from Robinson to Duncan to Manu to Parker and now to Leonard. The heat need to retool or break up the big 3. Maybe a Carmelo addition
Adding melo would make lebrons legacy a laughing stock Not one, not two but 3 other all stars because i am so beta
Hi guys, just want to ask a question about Manu Ginobilli. In my country he is recognized as our best basketball player ever, and one of the top sportmen of our history. I´m a casual basketball fan, just like to watch Manu, at Spurs or national team, but i don´t know too much about this game, further than basics. Sometimes i tend to think that here, in Argentine, Manu get´s maybe a biased hype. But, when i see coments, from forums or youtube i don´t feel he is regarded as high as we regard him. So, i´m a bit confused about his real basketball level as a player. I´m pretty sure he is far from being a top ten basketball player in history, so, is he at least a top 10 player ever in his position? Is he a top ten player of the last two decades? Has he got the level to be an NBA hall of fame player?
He's probably one of the best 6th man in the history of the NBA, though besides that.. People tend to overlook him, because he plays for the Spurs - they do with most of their player, Parker being the most obvious. He's surely an NBA HoF player, which is quite impressive, but I don't think he's been a top ten player at his position, ever - though that's debatable. Like I said, he's mainly featured for the Spurs off the bench and it's been a success in every possible way.
Manu is definitely one of the best 6th men ever. Him, Microwave Johnson, Bill Walton on the Celtics... can't think of a fourth right now. Maybe Jamal Crawford eventually. Not to mention most American basketball fans haven't forgotten that he led the Argentina team that beat our team in the 2004 Olympics. He's completely respected by NBA insiders and fans alike and most probably think he would've been a starter on just about any other squad had he ever left the Spurs in his prime. Top 10 ever? No. Hall of Fame? Without a doubt (international play counts also).
C'mon, Ewing is not really for a foreign NBA list... Sure, he was born in another country but i'm talking about guys who formed themselves outside of the US, basketball wise. Ginobili played 10 years in Argentina, Spain and Italy before going to the Spurs... If he had been born in Argentina and then had moved to the US when he was 14 and joined high-school and then a college and then drafted and played basketball from there i think I wouldn't count him either. But he is a product of foreign-FIBA basketball. PS: Also Drazen Petrovic.
Top 10 nba foreign talent The thing is with manu, he is the perfect 2 guard for spurs. I doubt he has this kind of impact at an iso team. He is a great passer and shooter ad doesnt butcher plays like some 2s with selfish play. Poppvic's system elevevated parker, manu and now leonard and diaw to higher levels He is hall of fame for me, u dont win 4 chips and stay in a team for over 10 years that wins 50 games a season if u arent awesome
Dirk, Parker, Divac, Nash, Gasol, Petrovic and definitely Olajuwon. It's hard to rank them, since you don't know what you're looking at - individual quality or team success and what not.
Nash not really an international (Canadian) I would day Manu a case can be made as the best international player ever. In Manu prime 2004-2008 he was one of the top 15 players in the league.
Pop making fun of the Heat at the river walk parade lol Riley going off on Lebron telling hi to not run out the first door and stand up and have guts, losing is part of the game and they will retool and not rebuild. That he is committed to Wade and Micky Arision has spent a lot of money and has hit by the luxury tax and continues to spend. This press conference was a shot across the bow to team Lebron.
The fact that the NBA has a city in Canada (Toronto) with a team, and therefore it's not really international or outside their general sphere of influence?
