    Hi Folks,
Since you all seem to be as passionate about Techfit as I was (until I began donning the "Wide Load" sign), I thought I would give you all a heads up regarding the auction of all my Techfit shirts. It rips my heart out to sell these, the best quality, best-looking shirts ever made. (Naturally, made by Adidas, the only true soccer outfitter!) I bought them all around the summer of 2012 after an impressive weight loss. Alas, I have since gained it all back and these shirts have not flattered me since. (In fact, they have been hanging in my closet since the Fall 0f 2012.) So my (weight) gain is your gain. I have a total of eight AUTHENTIC Adidas Techfit jerseys all US size XL. These are for those of you like me who enjoy the slender cut but aren't fit enough for a second skin (aka size Large or smaller). Here's a list:

Adidas Olympique Lyonnais Home Techfit XL
Adidas DC United Home L/S Techfit XL
Adidas DC United Away L/S Techfit XL
Adidas France Home Techfit L/S XL
    Adidas France Away Techfit XL
Adidas France Away L/S Techfit XL
Adidas Germany Away L/S Techfit XL
Adidas Bayern Munich Away Techfit XL

    eBay Store URL: http://www.ebay.com/sch/ageofreason66/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

(It will particularly difficult to part with the France long sleeve shirt. I have been buying/selling/collecting soccer shirts for about 25 years now and have had some real beauts. But the France Long Sleeve Techfit may be my all-time favorite.) There are three other non-Techfit shirts up there as well. I will not sell them offline. So please place bids if interested. Good luck!
    Ed

Thank you buddy but as you signed for the GSP, I would pay almost 40 usd for shipping cost and fees... While it only costs 14 usd with USPS priority.

5 of them showed up on eBay between April 25 and May 2. Unfortunately I took the week off of searching for Techfits and completely missed them. The real shame is the seller was asking $70 and ended up taking $50 for them from various buyers. They were long sleeves too. FML!!!!

I'm also hunting for older AC Milan techfits, the ones issued before the 12/13 floppy collar, unfortunately only House of Badges has a size medium and they want $180 for it.

On instagram there are some dudes with some really awesome techfits I've never seen before, while we've all seen Mexico home/away, there is apparently a blue Mexico GK with padding...my France GK has no padding, so this was a huge surprise. However, I couldn't find a picture of any Mexican GK wearing it, so I think it might have been for Ochoa who likes fitted jerseys and he never played in it.

There's also a dude with a Ajax Techfit, surely he got it through the club, because again I had seen it in advertisements, but it never appeared to be sold. Finally a couple of Germany and Bayern Munich GK techfits which seem to be even more rare than the black Germany away.

@Greggy I sent a message to the eBay vendor asking if he could get two more Colombia Techfits, he said "no, they are no longer available". Sorry buddy. I was hoping we could both land them. I'll keep looking...

Would it be a good idea to change the topic of this thread to "authentic/player issue shirts" for example? That way we could have discussion about other manufacturers' authentic player version shirts also. Nike is very active in the authentic shirt market at the moment and Puma to some extent too.

Good looks. Yes, unfortunately the only Milan Techfit there is the 11/12 crew collar Pato authentic, which I would LOVE to have, but at close to $500, they can get real. I'd be too scared to wear it and the whole point of a techfit is to wear it to appreciate it.

I've been thinking about this too...not so much Nike authentics (which are a slimmer fit), but I have contemplated creating a "All the ACTV shirts" to appreciate Puma's foray into the slim fit, power "zone" technology. While I won't buy an Italia jersey, I certainly want to get my hands on that template to test it. I see direct soccer in the UK has the exact template jersey with a collar, ambivalent to wear a collared shirt with buttons in goal though...

I bought that ACTV teamwear shirt. Exactly the same as the Italy jersey. Bought it from Puma EU shop. The Italy jersey is also on it's way. It certainly is techfit-like.

It seems the teamwear jersey is only available in long sleeves from teamwear retailers in UK. Don't know for sure though.

How do you like it? Are those power zones like power web or something different? Is that the rubber grip at the bottom?

I do like it yes. The material is maybe a little thinner than on techfits and more stretchier.

Power zones is different than power web. Power web used to be quite tight on the upper part of your body, around shoulders for example. It felt more like a harness. The power zones feel more like they are there to keep the shirt in place. They're also made from small separate pieces when power web was in quite long pieces. So the actv shirt doesn't feel that "locked down" or harness-like on your upper back but it's skin tight anyway.

And yes, there's a rubber grip at the bottom as in some techfits.

Awesome, I need to get one! Both for GK (long sleeve) and just casual wear (short sleeve), unfortunately Puma USA doesn't have the ACTV except the Italia and a long sleeve with a collar.

Does anyone else have experience on these ACTV shirts. There's one thing that concerns me. I received the Italy shirt from Kitbag today. I'm wondering why the collar on that shirt is not stitched down from the back.

You can't unbutton these ACTV shirts. The buttons are stitched through both pieces of fabric and there's a small piece of stitching on the backside of the collar as well. That definitely features on the teamwear shirts.

I ordered the Italy shirt first from another retailer to try it out. I'm not 100% certain but I think it had that stiching on the backside of the collar. I'm trying to look at players wearing the shirt but I haven't found good pictures. Is there two versions? Have they added this feature later? What do you think? When I'll ask Kitbag I'm almost sure they don't have a clue about the issue.

Here's a pic of the issue. Above is the Italy shirt and below the teamwear shirt. You can see that tiny piece of stitching on the teamwear shirt. Almost all the pics of the Italy shirt have that stitching. My guess is that Puma added that stitch later after receiving feedback (from the players maybe). That would mean that Kitbag sells some older stock for example. Still even the product pics on their site display that stitch on the collar.

I see what you mean, but to be honest I don't have an ACTV yet, you're probably the first person to have both...

Hey guys, has anyone had an up close look at the new nike player issue shirts? It's absolutely criminal how nike are selling them for more than 150 USD! The quality and detail have decreased so much compared to previous authentic version shirts. The badge and logo are no longer heat-pressed and the T-bars are gone as well. Can't see a lot of people willing to spend so much more just for a few ventilation holes and a tighter fit. Adidas authentic shirts are 100% a lot more worth it at this point.

It's funny you say that because I got a Portugal Ronaldo 2014 jersey for my birthday and my chick suggested I get the authentic, and I said "nah the replica is good enough". Well the replica's badges and logos are stitched and the fit is slim, but not tight, there are no ventilation holes, but the funny thing is on the bottom there is a silver nike logo which says "authentic" and has a number. The numbers are on the front and back and have official FPF font and logo on the numbers.

Anyways I was wearing it the other day, some guy saw the authentic badge and ohhhhed and ahhhhed at where I got a "real" one.

The lack of T-bars on the jerseys will be interesting for the players, the original Nike design was flawed, which is why they were incorporated. I wonder if they've been moved inside or they've fixed the design flaw.

In any event, the replica is good enough for me, but "yes", adidas authentic are the bees knees.

T-bars are gone yes. The differences are the ventilation holes and tighter fit as Torres92 said but there are also differences in the material. The replicas are out of same material all over. The authentic shirts have mesh back panel and additional cotton (4%) on the front material. The authentic does look different on you compared to replicas but yes, there could be more differences because they cost so much.

In my opinion the dri-fit material Nike uses on their shirt is not that great in quality. Adidas has way better materials.

I think Nike is constantly trying to make the authentic kits at a lower cost which means the quality goes down. Leaving the T-bars off might have been a cost decision. They're trying to lower the costs so they can bring more shirts for the market in authentic version to make more money. The market for authentics has not been that big in previous seasons. The selection for authentics has risen. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe their offering authentics at least for all the nations playing in World Cup.

Having said all that, I still like Nike authentics. For me they look way better than replicas. Replicas tend to look a bit "box-like" and the authentics more fitted. And they have made quite many nice designs for the World Cup so I have acquired a few of them already.

Forgot to mention that to me, the embroidered badges on Nike authentics feel like an upgrade from the screen printed ones. Screen prints allways look and feel a bit cheap.

Still there are even better ways to produce badges. Like on some techfit that didn't have screen printed badges, like last world cup Germany kits had very nice badges. They were out of some thick material. Very nice looking, good details and they had a very premium feel. Does anyone know what that material is? That's what Nike should use too!
