I don't think Shawn's younger brother has a thread yet. Since he's moving up the ranks, it's time to create one.

Parker is a '96 at Mainz. He was moved up from the U17 to the U19 team this March, whereupon he joined the starting lineup immediately.

Parker was on Germany's U17 team for their UEFA qualifying group in late March. Over three matches, he made two substitute appearances. Germany finished second in their group after a loss to Ukraine and therefore did not qualify for the final round.

So he too is provisionally cap-tied then?

Yes, he would have to file a one-time switch in order to play for the US.

Has he been losing ground against his German peers with the U19's? I just wonder because he brother seems so committed (reasonably so) to seeing out his German prospects and it seems odd that his brother wouldn't do so as well.

And, like Mr. Keller4president, I'd be interested to know your source for the info.

Willing to take your word for it......not that I didn't trust Dr. Soccer90's. I'd just like to know if there is some context to go with his statement about Devante.

Not only that, the twitter guy @usaprospects sometimes tweets about how the Parkers want to play for the USA more than people think.

went looking for the @usaprospects tweets or info on the parker talk

found "OWTY has confirmed that both Kauter and Parker (Devante) have strong interest in playing for the US"

So thats 2 people who do a great job of finding prospects saying hes interested in playing for the US. though dont know if thats just him saying it if germany dosent work out.

Parker scored another goal Sunday against fellow YA Eric Lickert's Freiburg squad. That's 6 in 13 contests so far.

Any chance we can have Julian make a few calls to this kid? Pretty soon our starting 11 will be all Ger-mericans.
