Surely you don't mean a 75% Donovan is enough to tip the scales from not advancing to advancing?

Do you mean Edu and EJ as well?

Landon Donovan and Julian Green are trending worldwide.

If Green burns out before the next WC. Klinsmann has to be fired, even if we have a 50 game winning streak,

He is for the USMNT. He makes everyone on the team worse, so not only bad but team cancer. Bradley hates playing with him.

    Hope it all works out.

Donovan: did someone say 'tip the scales?'

Really only disappointed in Davis over Donovan...other then that I'm fine with it. With that said LD has looked pretty bad for a while now for LAG...nonetheless a fantastic career and one he should be incredibly proud of.

I'm honestly just going off of my playing career. Assistant coaches (and I was part of a team with 3 of them once) had very little say in roster decisions like this. Even if he asks for their input, he isn't under any kind of obligation whatsoever to go along with what they say. He's seen Landon with his own two eyes, both in this camp and over multiple years. That's all I'm saying. As far as speculation over what he saw goes, I have no idea because I wasn't there.

Ha, I knew someone would run with that.

Though, in the docu-episode last night I thought he actually looked more in shape.

If JK wanted to grab the country's attention, even for a brief minute...this was the way to do it.

I guess in hindsight it's been coming since the 2011 Gold Cup, where Landon started looking not-so-great. Even still, if you'd told me yesterday that Yedlin, Chandler, Brooks, Green and Davis were going, but Landon wasn't, I'd have called you a liar.

Donovan means so much to US Soccer. Im sure most would have wanted him to make the roster just as a show for all he has done for the team in the past. Davis and Green over Donovan... it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense

Goodson, Parkhurst, Donovan. If something goes wrong in any way defensively, we are absolutely ********ed.

I certainly don't agree with this call, but we probably won't get out of the group either way. I think leaving off one of our top three creative just makes it all the more difficult.

Since Evans got kicked out for Yedlin and Chandler, I bet Klinsi is thinking about a Cameron-Besler partnership. He's always said CB is Cameron's best position and Omar has been really shaky.

I don't trust anybody taking penalties other than Donovan. How's Tim Howards penalty skills?

Also, can we please get a separate thread with this announcement as post number 1? This one is 6k posts long and impossible to navigate for an announcement of this magnitude.

Terrible group and we don't even have Donovan to bail us out. If the US wins one game this summer I'll be surprised. Especially if we are relying on Altidore for goals.

Jozy's fine at them. AJ too. I'd hope either of them take them over Dempsey.

I'll take Jozy or Bradley. Although Demps does have the balls to step up and do it.

psychologically this is a big effing gamble by Kaptain Karma.

He's telling the kids: there's no where to run!

Yedlin is this rotations Odonkor...a player only JK could love. he is now a player coach in austrian ski soccer league.

oh well. No edu is my biggest head scratcher.
