"Treated as juveniles..." smh. If a student tried to shoot or stab me and failed, s/he'd get choked out of 25 IQ points before anyone big enough to save them could get thru my door. I see no reason why attempted murderers using poison should be handled any differently.
Lest anyone thinks that this is a sign of a declining society, my wife recently talked with an elderly woman who taught 5th grade in the 1950s. The class had to keep a diary, as a writing exercise. When she went to grade one of the student's diaries, she found it filled with violent pornographic statements, about how the student wanted to f*$% her while choking her. We have always been in decline, methinks.
