I think you need to calm down.

If the poster with all the accusations had proof, he'd provide it instead of taking shots on a drive-by and then slinking off.

The problem is not that Mix might not be the next coming of Pirlo or that he might not have a virgin-white soul.

The problem is with internet posters feeling like they can say whatever the hell they want since some other posters have no standards.

Speaking of low standards, wtf kind of mixed metaphor is that?

Hey it is a national team thing with the daddys too involved in the careers of their sons. Seems we had a fair number of folks who felt that way about another one of our players and his dad, but that is working out pretty good for us so far.

I think the other stuff is just people running their head. The young man has made it clear in this very thread that following his dad's counsel has brought him thus far and he is just fine with that. He has shared his story of when as a wee one he wanted to be a footballer, and his dad told him if he would follow all of his instructions he could be. I would say so far his dad has shown to be prescient about what it took for him to arrive at this place.

Nothing new here really just putting a different spin on the same set of facts we already had. Unfortunately for the hit and run guy, he loses credibility when we already heard this story in this very thread from the source. Mix's opinions of his dads involvement is really the only relevant one. I don't even find it particularly unusual that some supporters are upset about it and blame all things negative on his dad. People tend to not like agents anyway, so Mix's dad/agent is just another agent.

Mix is a good young player with a lot of future and one of the best BS posters of all time. Sometimes people just want their soccer players to come from the same cookie cutter. I like him how he is, very unique and genuine. A few games on the bench happens to everybody.

Seems like there is a little sour grapes over Mix choosing the US over Norway. He did kind of "Rossi" them, right?

Unless he was involved in the injury of Gamboa which forced Svensson to move down to the fullback and/or the incident where Bille Nielsen bit a police officer on a trip home to Denmark which resulted in him being scratched for this game, forcing a Gamst Pedersen move to the wing. Suddenly two spots opened up in the midfield through freak incidents. Coincidence?

Mix had the secondary assist on Rosenborg's first goal by the way. I didn't watch the game too closely, just had it on in the bacground so can't say much about the performance. (Seemed to me Rosenborg were a bit lucky with the result for their fourth consecutive game though.)

I honestly don't think people are upset that Mix did not choose to play for Norway. Speaking for myself only I couldn't care less. And that has nothing to do with Mix and everything to do with my lack of interest for the Norwegian national team, and national team soccer in general. Generally it seems to me that people understand his decision, both because the US coaches showed the most interest in him and because playing for USMNT sure gives a better chance at some world cups.

No offence but some of you interpret things far too negatively.

For all of the Norwegian posters suddenly on this thread (including Mix or his dad), there's a show on here in the States called Vikings. It is about a Viking Jarl named Ragnar Lothbrok. It kicks ass. If you don't mind, I have a few questions:
    1. In the pantheon of great Norwegians, where does Ragnar rank?
    2. Is the blood eagle real, and is it well known in Norwegian culture?
    3. Is there any difference between an Earl and a Jarl?
    4. Did the Vikings of Ragnar's time play football?

    Thanks.

NOTE: Well that's annoying. For fans of the show Vikings, do not look up Blood Eagle on Wikipedia. Major spoilers for the show.
