Thought it would be nice to have a place where we can discuss other teams in Germany, and around the world. I'll start things off by saying I hope this kind of thing never becomes a reality in the Bundesliga:
The jersey is designed to match the product. This is Chicago's home jersey, which is typically all red. However in this case, they altered their usual design to make the jersey look like the typical Quaker oats box. Past jersey's have generally looked like this:
Ah. It's been so long since I'd been dragged to one of their games I didn't even remember what their jerseys looked like. Fits though, the clubs have no history or tradition, and financing them must be absurdly difficult, so just makes sense they'd do something like this.
The league isn't struggling at all financially, though. Even without commercial earnings, league wide revenue is soaring. They're about to sign a massive TV deal and as is, they only spend about 25 to 30% of revenue on wages, which is even lower than the Bundesliga. They don't need this type of sponsorship.
Huub Stevens replaces Schneider at Stuttgart to help salvage the rest of their campaign and get them out of the relegation race. Let's see if he can get his squad back in form to make that April 19 match an interesting showdown.
I don't want an interesting showdown, I want to thrash them. Does not matter that Stevens is their new coach.

I hoped for a longer sentenced but 3,5 years is nothing to sneeze at, at least for Germany. Hoeness' lawyer already said that they will appeal the sentence so we will have to wait until he finally goes to jail. Can't see him getting a better term but I'm an absolute layman regarding the law.
I've only read a short comment by Heldt. According to that we voted against it because it is still too unreliable, too expensive for a lot of clubs and Heldt himself is more in favor of video evidence. I think it is a mistake though not an important one. I'm very much in favor of techincal solutions for (relatively) simple yes-no problems in sport, f.e. goal or not, offside or not, out of bounds or not, or in baseball strike or ball. It would free the ref to concentrate on more important and intricate problems.

Looks like Wolfsburg and BMG are the primary contenders for that last CL place. BMG have the head start, but Wolfsburg have a slightly easier schedule. Amazingly, they play each other on the last match day. That battle is going to be epic.
Someone pointed out to me that if Arsenal or Porto fail to qualify for the group stage of next years CL, we'll be guaranteed a place in the first pot as the qualified team with the 8th highest UEFA coeficient. If both Arsenal and Porto fail, Dortmund will be guaranteed a spot on the first pot as well. Go Everton?
I have a hard time seeing Porto miss the CL qualification. They should then get a rather easy draw in the qualifying rounds. Arsenal is a different matter, but Everton already blew their lead and have a far more difficult schedule to play.
Everton do have a slightly tougher Schedule. Of course just one slip up will mean that Man City have nothing to play for when they face Everton. Everton have only lost 2 games at home, and they look the stronger team right now.
Yes, everything is possible with just a one point difference. I wouldn't be sad if we drop into the first pot. ^^
