Seems like he's on the fence about it. Nothing to indicate that he's gone one way or another.

Someone on some show said they thought Houston could give him some money? How about a big three of Harden, Melo and Howard? That team would be decent.

I really doubt the Rockets let go of Parsons (him and Howard have the same agent), which would mean Melo would have to play the four. Then there's still the question of Anthony and Harden playing defence.

Though the idea does seem nice.

lol was just about to say that. Defenseless team that can outscore their opponents to win.. will make for a very exciting team for viewers.

I don't. Thinks so. For Melo, it should be Bulls or Knicks.

    If he's talking about winning.

Melo would look great in black and white.

At this point Lin and Asik are no longer assets so hard to see them opening up cap space.

What do the Knicks have to do with winning? I think the fit in Houston might actually be better than Chicago. Melo likes to operate on the low block and he will occupy areas that Noah likes. At this stage you gotta think Harden is a better player than Rose simply because he can stay on the court, and as good as Noah and Rose may be, I think Howard and Harden may be better. Coach competition is probably no contest in Chicago's favor though.

Asik is definitely an asset IMO. And don't they both have expiring contracts?

Sure they're expiring, so how do they become assets unless you're dumping a bigger contract? Asik and Lin have cap hits of $8 million with their actual pay being $15 million on the season. Both are unrestricted free agents next season too which kind of nullifies the asset as a player part of it.

How funny would it be if the Rockets gave the Knicks Lin back in a sign and trade?

    Yes that makes sense.

I think Noah can play else where. I'm not even considering Rose. I think the culture in Chicago just a better fit.

Houston is really still building. No PG.

I'm not so sure personally - a seemingly humorless coach obsessed with defense and perhaps a little challenged on the offensive end is a good fit for a player like Melo? The Rockets on the other hand are obsessed with the three and think long range 2s are almost a complete waste of time. Anthony and Howard might complement each other very well.

If I were Anthony and had a choice between those two teams and I was picking the one to give me a better chance at a championship I'd probably lean heavily towards Houston. Too many question marks around Rose for me, but I also think if you have genetic issues with your ligaments and tendons, it's likely to continue to dog you throughout your career.

    We president now.

Here in Houston the rumor of Carmelo to the Rox came out of left field. They way its all set up it is possible to add that 3rd star but the guy the fan bases has been wanting is LaMarcus or Ramon Rango.

Impossible not to give Melo a call if he's available and willing but most are indifferent about him

    As for assets

Asik is still a very attractive asset, Lin not so much.
T-Jones is still on his rookie deal and developing nicely as is Chandler Sex. God that hes so hot right now

    Regardless in Morey we trust

Yeah - that guy is annoying as hell :) I'm not sure you need a great point guard if Harden and Melo are on your team.

Yea, aside his defense I don't think his game is all that great to match up against Paul, Parker, Curry, Lillard etc either.

If he's you back up PG and you an a better guy starting, lol

Melo has dealt with that all his career. He's clearly matured. This season has probably been his best overall season as hes doing more than scoring these days.

He needs to be challenged and taken out of that comfort zone and I think it will make him better in the long run.

If Melo is willing to go to the Bulls, he will know what kind of coach he has. I don't think it will be a problem. Woodsom and Dantoni are not coaches to take Melo and elevate.

That culture will change him IMO. Melo is not as bad a personality or teammate as is being made out by some posters or the media.

Beverly is so damn annoying... and yeah, I'd probably love him if he were on my team. (As a backup, of course.)

Wouldn't make much sense since Chicago has picks that Houston can't offer for the same money.
