Now that many of us have kids we are able to bring a new generation into the Crew fold... That being acknowledged, what the heck can I bring in with me with my 9 month old son? I was reading through CCS's policies, and I have no idea. I know I can bring the kid. And he is free. I would imagine that I can bring a diaper bag. What about some baby food inside? Our little guy (and he is a skinny kid. I tell people we feed him all the time, but it does not look like it. I don't know where he got his metabolism. His father probably.) will need those puffs or yogurt packs. I know security has cracked down in the past few years on bags... And I know diaper bags are banned in NFL stadiums.. Any help will be appreciated, from one parent to another parent.
I bring my two daughters in wheelchairs to a few games a year. I have never had any issues with bringing a small bag in with their stuff and usually bring them a few bottles of water, too. I don't know what the actual policy is but they have never given me any trouble FYI, my kids are 11 and 12 but they have been coming to games for years.
We took our now 14 month old to a few matches last year. Never had a problem with the diaper bag or taking bottles. Security did open the bag as they do with all bags. We always had baby snacks. My bigger concern was about decible level. (Think Drew Brees' kid at the super bowl). Section 106 spiked above tolerance levels, but it was not prolonged. Standard volume was well under 80. You can use an app on your phone to measure if you are concerned. And I agree, the Crew website is useless for family FAQ. Also you might want to be clear with folks around you about personal space.
It's been a few years since I've been to a match with the kids, but when our daughter was an infant there were never any issues with the contents of her diaper bag.
Pro daddy Here. Nobody is going to give you any problems dragging baby stuff in there. 9 months is a great age for the crew - particular if you are in the bleachers - your little man can cruise the benches and meet the neighbors a bit. We sit in 226, and it's great. You get to see a lot of off-ball movement from there. You cannot bring enough blankets - it always gets cold at night.
We used to bring a stroller and leave it at the top of the section. We sat near there and could keep an eye on it, and when the kids got fussy you put them in it and stood by the rail to watch. I'll second the extra blanket idea.
Lucky you. I believe the official policy is only if the forecasted high is above 90. @kgilbert78 may know for sure. Heck, they gave me grief one year about trying to take in an EMPTY bottle. Maybe because they're in wheelchairs, they get some sort of sympathy pass?
I never had an issue with bringing in a diaper bag, bottles and a few snacks for the little ones. I have 3 kids and each has been to games as an infant and toddler with no issues. Agreed on the blanket idea and agreed that goal celebrations and such can startle the little ones...but that's life and can easily be dealt with. I have never thought to try to bring in a stroller to CCS (except for going through the concourse during the 5k) though...wish I had thought of that cuz it would have made life easier.
We've never had any issues, though we don't take them much anymore. You should reach out to Kevin and/or Katie Hughes, though. I know they had a big problem bringing in snacks for a game last season. They said they were harassed at the entry gate so much that they would not come back to a game with kids.
Maybe. Kids in wheelchairs often get to do things others don't because the other 99.9% of their lives it's the other way around.
I have no idea--and why would I?? I don't have kids. I don't bring bottles. I have had what's in my pockets questioned (as I keep my wallet in my front pocket and cell in the other). My wife has had no problem with her asthma meds. But I woudln't want to go anywhere that enforces the NFL rules. Now at Jackets games I did get harrased about my camera--but that rule has changed again (for the better).
That's a much more reasonable reply than I would have given. Chelsey - I never had any issues bringing stuff in for the young un but that was a few years ago.
I agree with what everyone else has said. We have never had an issue with snacks or cups for the little one. And bringing a stroller is nice, but can be cumbersome if you don't want to stay with it the whole time. One thing I have seen people do is bring a bike lock to lock it to a railing when it was not being used.
This response may be one of the classiest responses ever on this board. Thank you. And thank you to all of the dads out there with the helpful information. I chuckle as I type this. I suppose most women might go on a mothering forum and ask a question about little kids and sporting events and yadda yadda. Instead I get firsthand knowledge from parents who have experience at the actual stadium I want to bring our little guy. We will see how Saturday goes. I am packing everything into a small bag rather than our larger diaper bag. Minimalist intentions. I floated the stroller idea past my husband but he would rather do the baby bjorn carrier thing we have. Thoughts?
The earplugstore.com is where we got ours. Baby formula, powder and food we have had no problem. They will look through you diper bag. We bring our stroller and leave it at the bottom. Make use of the Family bathroom
We brought both and used the Bjorn when we were in our seats., with it being cold you can store your blanket under the stroller and diaper bag and other stuff. If you haven't check out once upon a child for some cheap bunting or some really warm clothes for the game.
Don't bring a stroller. Not worth the hassle. Baby Bjorn is the way to go. It's Crew Stadium...you can park closer to the gates than almost any other sporting venue.
Write to Mr Precourt and ask him if he's OK with bringing in baby stuff. He owns the joint. and he likes kids.
It's even better when they get older and tell you they want to go to every game this season. Though we did have to have a chat about what will happen if he ever repeats any bad words that he hears.
I saw the thread title and thought the Toronto fans had decided to make a road trip here. What a relief.
