Last year, Orlando led all USL with an average of 7,835.
There were four teams (Dayton, LA Blues, VSI Tampa, and Charlotte) that averaged less than 800/game.
The overall league average for attendance last year was 2,826.
18% of the league's games were played in front of >5,000 (Made up almost entirely by Orlando City)
28% of the league's games were played in front of <1000
Other than Orlando, four other teams (Pittsburgh, Charleston, Rochester, and Wilmington) averaged > 3,000/game.

Does anyone know the capacity of the Track and Field stadium at the Stubhub Center? Curious as to how full it was the Galaxy II debut.

To be honest, work swamped me and I lost track at the end of the season. I'm afraid Kenn's the alpha and omega of information from last season. I have managed to squeeze out enough time to create this year's spreadsheet and start tracking. With only two games, though, there's not much to show so I'm not posting anything yet. Hopefully I can find the last of what was available and update last year's before things get too far along.

    No worries, mate.

I usually don't report on anything until everybody has had at least one home game, which will be a bit yet. Phoenix doesn't open at home for another (almost) three weeks.

Looks like there will be a little bump this year with Sacramento joining (5,000 STs sold thus far), and then a drop again once Orlando moves up to MLS next year. They're trying to sell out their first ever home game in a 20,000 seat stadium - I don't know if they'll quite make it, but I'm thinking they'll get at least 15k to show up. A shame it's going to be on a horrible turf field with painted lines and surrounded by a track.... :(

Won't the Venue that Orlando is playing in this year ensure that they will have a drop this year from last? That likely would factor in the overall numbers from 2013 to 2014 too.

Yes. Capacity is only 5,300 at our temp venue.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Sacto and OKC.

There are all sorts of caveats you have to look at when comparing overall league numbers from year to year:
    • Orlando cannot match its average of last year, mathematically, because of its smaller venue.
    • Sacramento has a very good chance to basically take that mathematical spot that Orlando filled last year.
    • Bottom-feeding VSI Tampa Bay is gone. This leaves the OC Blues, Dayton and Charlotte as candidates to bring the overall average down, but they all averaged twice as much as Tampa Bay did last year.
    • Phoenix is likely to average more than 1,532 a game this year, though how many more is unclear. But the new owners can't possibly have their team fall off a cliff like the old ones did.

Ah, had no idea you guys were playing in a smaller venue this year. Seems strange to scale back the year before MLS, but you have to play where you have to play, I guess.

Um.....it's because their usual stadium is being renovated, to the tune of $200M? They're "scaling back" because they don't have any other place to play.

I didn't mean it in a negative way, just surprised to hear that. Didn't know the details. I can see how my post can come off as a douche - not my intention at all. Have to play where you have to play, and that's true for Sac playing on a horrible turf field surrounded by a track for our first few games.

Was there any attendance drop off when a train wreck of a team like Antigua came to town that will go "missing" this year to help the average? They themselves didn't hurt the attendance numbers because they never hosted a game, but is there any corrilation to them playing in games that were low attendance numbers in other locations relative to their average? Hopefully OC Blues can get a bump from a few Galaxy games and other California games (hope, not expect), and who knows what OKC will bring to the table (not Sacramento numbers, but hopefully better than VSI!). It's all speculation and this point ... but can't wait to see how the numbers come out.

I think OKC will draw ok, first year excitement and all. But they will not be able to bring up the top end of the league attendance simply because their stadium isnt big enough. Nothing against them but McGuinness just isnt that big, even with the 2 sets bleachers they've added.

You know they were throwing out numbers like 5k. I just don't know how you'd fit that many people there. I went to a small 3A school in SE oklahoma and our stadium is bigger than Pribil

Anything over 3k would be a boost to the USL Average and a good 1st year given stadium restraints.

I really would like to know what the real capacity of Pribil is. They have added (2) sets of bleachers, one on the east sideline, and one in the north end zone.
I looked up bleachers and even if these are 15-row bleachers they will only hold 270-300 people each.
With the (3) sets of bleachers they have now that would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 750-900 people. Add that to whatever the home stands hold I don't see how it can hold more than 2,000-2,500. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Does anyone have an attendance figure for the Orlando City game last night?
