The Ukrainian players in interviews look disinterested. Then again that's kind of how they usually look.

I used to be a big Brek Shea fan, but his hot and cold form over the last 2 years and his off the field antics makes me not even care if he gets in tomorrow, I'd personally rather have Green

It is the truth. In at least 2 or 3 previous games, the Univision commentators have regularly and enthusiastically referred to Spector as "el Inspector!"

There are wonderful nicknames for several players (often including middle names) or just weird things like Tim Howard being combined into "T-Ho."

imo, the Univision option is by far the preferable way to enjoy a friendly relative to what you'd hear on ESPN.

I offered no history. You imagine or project, which may not be proof but raises the question and so the assumption of a whine.

I can confirm that UniMas commentator Pablo Ramirez says this.

I forgot what the other guys name, not Jesus Bracamontes, the other guy, Diego —something.

Yeah, I read that. After 6 consecutive World Cups, including a few in which we managed decent performances, I've concluded that the only way the world will ever get to know our team is if we either win the World Cup or reverse continental drift and merge into Europe.

That's exactly the XI I'd like to see, too.

Among a number of player issues worth following in the match, this is a huge game for Williams. He ended 2013 outside the nominal 30-man pool, but today he can grab a spot inside the top 30, and make a case for challenging Beckerman's spot in the 23.

I like that as well, though I've seen/heard a number of soccer pundits (Galarcep included) saying that Beckerman is above Diskerud and so Williams would take his spot, if any.

Mix is on the plane...Who else would backup Bradley as a more offensive CM? Beckermen and Williams are probably in competition with each other..can't see Jurgen taking that many pure CDM's and also JK loves Mix

And Cameron can back up one of the CM spots, too.

No, I agree Mix should be and as the EIC wrote Cameron is there. I just hope Galarcep et al are not right that Williams would supplant Diskerud not Beckerman.

I fell you...and ya I treat Ives' material with a grain of salt...some of his starting lineup predictions are cringe-worthy.

This game is do or die for Daniel Williams. He needs to be superb to take Beckerman's place, and even if he is, I'd say Kyle has dibs on that DM spot because he's been part of Klinsmann's group for much longer.

I am looking at my WatchESPN app and the coverage is to begin at 1:30 pm EST. Isn't there about 30 minutes of pre-game?

I agree. I really like Beckerman, and for the tools he's been given he really is a pretty damn good player, but Williams has shown flashes of brilliance before and definitely has a great upside given his age and athleticism. That said, although I can't recall the games off of the top of my head, he has been pretty bad in the NT jersey a few times before.

Give him one last chance with a start this game. I agree with @Suyuntuy though, he'll have to play amazing to nab a spot in the 23.
