I dont think he's making Colorado. They want him on the left, but he tends to stray to the middle. Alot. Colorado already has a producing attacking mid, so Galindo will not get a shot there. Dude is still on team, only because he oozes talent. But whats going to get him off team is his relectency to play other positions correctly. I was hoping he made team, as Im confident he would have molded nicely with team. I would have loved to had seen him at rfk.
I feel for this guy, he has been with a few teams already and just can't find the perfect fit. Preseason is about to wrap up, if he hasn't gotten signed yet chances are he won't. The only thing he can do is believe in himself and keep searching, eventually he'll find the right place, hope its sooner than later.
He just doesn't look himself. The limited stuff I saw of him with Colorado, he looks uncomfortable playing out left. Can you blame him? He doesn't look great either. Until a team will play him where he naturally shines...he's not that great.
Yup. He wasnt a very strong option out left. He is extremely helpful with helping team keep possession of ball. Just sucks he's not tearing up the flanks or utilizing that space. In all do honesty, I would have thrown him out left as well. Very talented player with strong size and decent speed. I did expect him to do better. Dude trailed back to defend, so he's not a complete defensive mess like his earlier days. Galindo plays the game the old school way. He's a 100% #10 type player. Hope dude finds a team soon.
http://m.coloradorapids.com/news/2014/03/daily-update-march-4-2014 Galindo is the only Trailist left. Everyone else was let go. The Spaniard was offered a contract. Expectations aren't to high at this point, but nice to know he's making it hard on them. I like MLS. We need players playing at a fast and physical setting. League still not where it needs to be technically, but that plays to our advantage. If Galindo does make team, he will likely play various positions. Depending on his attitude, this could make or break him.
Hopefully this is true. http://www.givemesport.com/442583-arsenal-midfielder-set-for-colorado-rapids-switch
I keep looking on the Colorado Rapids site, they still have him lidted as a tryalist. Is there any more info on Galindo. Hope he gets in, something official from the team would be the best way to be sure.
He's the only trialist left. He's basically there becasue of the ties to Arsenal. A good amount of Rapid fans don't really rate him based on his recent performances.
They cut Arsenal trailest before. Im confident if he's still there, its for a reason. The first 3-4 games for Etch in MLS, he looked useless. After the 4th to 5th game, the dude started to shine, and non Bolivians began to see his value. Same thing here. These Rapids fans have no idea of the true potential this dude has in the middle.
I know he's good--don't take my post the wrong way. I just don't think he's at the right team/system to play well. He's going to be played as a winger, and for a lanky, slower, possession based guy--on the wing is going to expose all of the bad sides of his game. I would't be surprised if they try to convert him to a left back either...
Agreed. Hes not a very effective player on thw wings. Dude has decent speed, but not the break away speed many MLS coaches love to see on the wings.
I've read that they are working on the loan papers with Arsenal, but nothing signed yet. I dont want to be a pessimist but isuppose things can fall through in negotiations like it has for many other Bolivians.
Colorado will get a ton of salary relief for a player they just sold. This could be good news for Galindo. Fingers crossed.
When is the deadline for signing in the MLS? this dude is been there for a while now, it would suck if he doesn't make it
It was almost a month ago last time we heard about Galindo, can't find anything new. He's not even in the roster when Colorado plays...Future is not looking to good, (He turns 22 on April 18th).
According to the rules, they have until May 12 to sign him. http://pressbox.mlssoccer.com/content/roster-rules-and-regulations
Yup. Demand for Samuel has taken a nose dive. Very sad. He can still be a huge difference maker in leagues like MLS. He hasnt had a team for a while, so not playing will effect him big time.
MLS is really a terrible league for his skill set and the type of player he is and Colorado especially wont be a very good fit IMO.
