Gotcha, so this thread is about top players and not so top players that would start in the world cup as long as that player does not play for MLS. Perfect sense now. Bryan Oviedo, lmao what a hard sell. God bless you guys for trying. Unsubscribe to this waste of time.
Where exactly am I bashing the MLS? FYI I support TFC and have watched Dike since 2012 when he made his debut against Venezuela. Dude is not even a top player in the MLS.
Your arguments are probably unassailable ... still can you elaborate? Adding 9, 9, 9 or something similar doesn't add much. Also remember that both our countries aren't that big and it's hard to hold onto your top prospects in a feeder league.
Ignoring that last bit because it is totally irrelevant, I just think Januzaj does not fit into the TOPplayers category yet. Just as van Ginkel doesn't.
Now I get where you're coming from ... I agree that Adnan still has to unlock his potential (and only if/when he does can he be regarded as a top player) ... however I replied to another poster who used the words 'high profile player' (directed a question at him/her/it) ... do you agree that Januzaj hasn't exactly kept a low profile?
Bright Dike is awful. I'm sorry man, butwhen healthy, he's a rotation/squad player for historically the worst MLS team out there (and TFC is my "local" team!). Oviedo and Vela are miles better. Vela has 15 goals and 11 assists in 38 games for Real Sociedad. That means he's integral to almost a goal per game for a team in one of the world's top leagues. Oviedo is arguably the best Costa Rican player out there right now, and he was a huge part of the reason Everton was in top 4 contention in the EPL before he broke his leg. Back to Bright Dike, he has 1 goal in 7 appearances for f-ing Toronto FC. He's got TWO caps for Nigeria, so it's not like he's an integral player to Nigeria's plans. I wish him all the best and a smooth recovery from the injury, but he is not a top player, while the other Vela and Oviedo are massive for their big club teams and huge misses for their national teams.
Yaya Toure out with a knee injury, unknown the full extent of the injury, but it is said he may miss rest of the EPL season. If he is out this will be the biggest single loss so far. Fingers crossed.
From the German team currently still the following players are injured. Khedira - might be fit in time Gomez - might make it back in time Klose - 3rd injury in 2014 very doubtful Gundugan - out Bender twins - both doubtful Schmelzer - not sure if he will be fit in time
False alarm it appears Yaya will only be out for 2 weeks, thank god. He needs rest anyways so maybe this could be a good thing.

Andros Townsend out and Kyle Walker looking doubtful. This is again slightly pushing the boundaries of 'top'. Shouldn't be a huge dent in England's prospects as what we lack in world class quality we have in squad depth.
