We'd been linked to a number of Swiss players as well. Keep in mind that Barnetta is still under contract with us.

I'm just glad we won the game. Now two more victories in the Bundesliga and the first half would be acceptable.

I'm just glad we won a must-win game. That doesn't seem to happen all that much anymore.

I think it's stoker you've also been linked to from them? Both would be good moves, although unfortunately neither solve that CM probably that hopefully Natkho can fill if he is secured.

You think? Sure we lost to Gladbach and Hoffenheim but we advanced against Saloniki and got a result against Freiburg on the last match day last season. Those two were the most important games in 2013 and we won them.

You can't win all "must-win" games, at some point you will lose some.

We were linked to Stocker but I doubt we will renew the interest if we sign Sam. Might be possible if Draxler leaves in the summer but I doubt that.

For some weird reason Real has always difficulties with matches in Germany. Maybe we can get a good result at home. Otherwise it looks like two more games and that's it for this year's European competition. At least it is a far more interesting draw than Galatasaray last year.

I would be happy with a good result at home. Overall, we really need to focus on our domestic campaign.

That is undoubtedly right. I just hope we can win our match Saturday. Winterbreak would look so much better with 30p.

Good luck against Real Madrid this week boys...

Your going to have to play perfect defense and counter attack with efficient ruthlessness..

If you can somehow manage a 2-0 lead into the bernabau it could be massive.

Real score plenty of goals in their home, so you need that cushion

My expectations for Schalke aren't that high. Just don't embarrass German football, fight, be sharp and confident.

    That's all and Goodspeed! :)

Thx, but I don't expect anything. For me it is a glorified friendly. Maybe the team plays its best game of the season, then we might have a chance to advance but there won't be much in it short of a miracle.

I won't be able to see the match anyway. I can't sit in front of my computer Wednesday and Comcast refuses to carry FS2.

Your team looks strong. Could easily be one of the fastest counter attacking teams in the competition. Draxler looks dangerous.

We're not really that good at counter attacking, at least we haven't been that good this season. We have a pretty strong lineup today with some players coming back from injury, but I just don't care about the result of this game. I'd rather beat Bayern this weekend.

So much for not embarrasing the league. Awful performance. Between you and Leverkusen must have cost us a few points in the uefa rankings.

Goal difference doesn't factor into the rankings.

I hoped for a decent match and a respectable result. Well, it isn't really surprising that the problems for the first half haven't all gone away. Doesn't help if you add individual errors to tactical ineptitude.

Don't see what his being a Bayern fan has to with it his statement. The bundesliga is my league and I in Champions and Euros I always want see the bundi teams come out on top. The league has fought hard for respectability and those 6 European spots. Serie A will chirping about the result to be sure.

Kellers tactics will never allow us to be giant killers. Schalke is no longer a counter attacking team. Keller refuses to sit deep and defend, even when we're completely out matched.
