    Quote below from SR4U:
"The soleplate provides plenty of rigidity through the mid-foot, giving the boot a nice solid feel when striking through the ball, while the bladed studs under the heel offer plenty of stability when planting for a strike"

His Tiempo V AG has bladed studs !!!
He copied texts from his Tiempo V FG review to Tiempo V AG review. Perhaps he didnt play in the shoes yet before the review.

My site is inactive at the moment. It will be relaunched and properly maintained in the near future, but I've honestly not had the time to invest with my current work schedule and the demands of my personal life.

Hey guys I just picked a pair of the legendary Mizuno Morelia 2 Made In Japan in black and am looking forward prepping them before the season starts.

Usually I use Kiwi outdoor dubbin to condition my shoes and its worked well in the past but I figured for my legendary new cleats I should try the legendary Chelsea Leather food. I understand it is also a dubbin but I'm curious to see if there's any difference.

Has anyone had any experience with Chelsea Leather Food? How does it compare to other brands? Should I get it in black or clear? (mind you I don't want it to stain the other parts of my boots)

I've used Chelsea for years, it is pretty much the best dubbin around. The clear is easier to deal with in terms of staining your hands and clothing.

I use shoes cream like adidas one. Clear and easy to buff. Not oily at all.

The reason I use cream instead of leather food is that I think MIJ Morelia is already scotchgarded and I just need to use the cream which possess cleaning and buffing effects. After 8-10 times playing the MIJ is still waterproof and super soft without leather food.

I had the challenge red ones, very comfy boots. The differences are that they slimmed the weight down, elite sole and internal heel counter.

you can't really go wrong with them all round solid boots

    Hi guys,

At my team we need FG and SG boots and they must also be black. I had some black f50s in SG but they're too small now, and just 'til the end of the season I need some relatively cheap SG's. I have seen some CTR360 Maestri II's for around £40, but my only issue is they are the classic SG stud pattern (6 studs) - I've never really liked wearing SG and so whenever I've had to I've always worn mixed sole (like the Nike SG-Pro design).

My question is, for those that have worn both, is there a real difference between mixed sole and standard 6-stud sole plates? How do they feel in comparison (in terms of traction, turning, sprinting, feeling light on your feet etc.) I'm an attacking player and like my feet to feel free and nimble, which is why I massively prefer FG.

Sorry about how lengthy this post is

What size do you recommend? I'm a 10 in the adipowers and it's the perfect tight fit that I like. And a 10.5 in the original evospeeds. I have the k leather laser iii in a 10.5 but it's not the perfect tight fit that I like. Would you recommend a 10 or a 10.5?

Six stud and mix stud have their places.....the reason you see both at the pro level is personal preference. Most pro level pitches don't become a mud bath these days, so the original reason for six studs (to hold less clogging mudd) is a moot point. At lower levels.....they are obviously useful as most natural pitches go to shit from Nov through March. I doubt you'd feel restricted in a six stud unit.

Im 30 this year and have recently picked up playing casual soccer with some collegues on Sundays and have no soccer experience/equipment at all. We play on a natural grass field with lots of dead leafs. Currently i am using some converse all star canvas street shoes and some low cut fasion ankle socks. lol.

I have noticed the other peeps are using shoes/boots that look amazing. I want to look the part and have been researching on this subject recently. I was actually shocked at the variaty of these shoes at first, i understand that there are leather and then there are synthetics, which are then divded up into different types of leathers and syntetics, which again are divided into different levels/grades of boots. I decided to narrow my search to a leather boot, which most peeps here agree that, leather is the more comfortable option.

I then stumbled onto prodirectsoccer and set my focus on the discount section and this current boot has caught my eye, the "evospeed 1 k leather" boot, which was originally priced at 140 pounds, now selling at 40 pounds, plus it looks good too! Before i took the plunge i decided to do some research on this forum. There are mixed views on this boot, some loved it, some hated it, and then there was the photo of the boot which had the top split from the bottom and i was like, er, does this happen to every boot? Or is it because of this issue that the boot is selling for so cheap.

Any advice on whether to get this boot? Or would there be any other recommendation or advice.

While I can't comment on that boot in particular, durability issues can vary from boot to boot, and with all due respect if you are just playing casual football, you don't think you have to worry too much.

bottom line with boots is comfort, best to try some boots on first. While the evospeed look good, they may be uncomfortable for you, then you are just stuck. Is there no shops near you? try them on find what fits best and then order online.

Boot's that I would recommend looking at are the nike tiempo Legends, they are a k-leather boot which are comfortable and you could pick some of the older colour ways for cheap

Thanks David for your prompt reply, i have recently been to a specialist soccer shop before my research and was in awe of the amount of choices that were on display there, and i had no idea what the salesman was telling me and hence, came my search on the internet, where i could view each shoe from the comfort of my home :). However, what you said is totally true and i should try out some shoes the next time i drop by there.

I have also been told that some boots increase a person's ability to hit the ball harder, or enable a person to run faster, is there any advice on whether this information is accurate. I mean, i agree it is common sense that maybe if a shoe is stiffer or harder, the impact on the ball is harder? Or if a shoe is lighter, there is less weight to carry and therefore run faster. I do not know whether i have been throlled by my mates and am curious whether such information is true.

Yes your mates are messing with you. No boot will make you kick harder or run faster. If you're just starting out the biggest thing you want is a comfortable boot. No technology will make up for lack of skill or speed. Like David said go try on a few. See what you like and what feels good and go with it. Don't let them try to sell you on a gimmick. Welcome to the club!

Thanks Decency for your recommandation, i have looked at the sondico's online at sportsdirect mate and found nothing that looked good or interesting mate, maybe you could recommend a particular model?

Speaking of which, there is this player in our game who wears a purple colored boot, i may be wrong as it could be blue, as im abit colour-blinded. His shoes are really streamlined and really resembled a sports car compared to the shoes other players were wearing. He has a really hot wife who watches him play every time. I mean this guy runs at us with such speed and precision and he really looks good doing it. When we were taking a break halfway through, his wife actually mentioned that she fell in love with him during high school watching the guy play soccer!

Ill be heading to my local sports shop soon and i hope i can pick up something i like, this time i guess im better prepared with all the information i have soaked up from here! Keep you peeps updated on what i end up with!
