Back when these three clubs were really good, they managed some impressive results/achievements in Europe. Let's post some videos of classic matches from these three teams back in their good days. FK Zeljeznicar FK Sarajevo FK Velez Mostar
Look how many people came to watch that then, and how good the matches were. Look at this fecal matter now:
Thats when Velez Mostar would make Velez Sarsfield look like fools, now its the other way around. I wonder where these clubs would be if the war never happened? Probably not that good still. Sarajevo and Zeljo would be like Partizan today. So many talents wouldve left to bigger clubs anyways after the age rule was abolished.
Just watched the first 10 mins. Wow man, thats art how they played. Honestly more beautiful to my eyes than any league out there today.
I often look for these kinds of clips on youtube when I can't sleep at night. They almost make me cry. I often observe the fans. Stadiums were mostly full, people were happy, the rivalries were intense but didn't devolve into violence and nationalism. The football was good. Life was good.
they say Yugoslavia would be on Sweden's level today economically if the war didn't happen.. Sweden's like one of the most evolved nations on earth
Football was different back then and smaller clubs could do shit like that. That age is over, war or no war. All of today's little English clubs used to win things in the past. That time is over. Money runs shit now. It's not just our clubs that aren't making it anymore, it's all clubs from smaller leagues today. You're not going to see Standard Liege winning the CL either.
this is true. this is true for the world in general when the little man had the power to move up. do some good. change. now if you dont have money. youre at a standstill.
Yeah but look at a club like Borussia Dortmund or Napoli. They aren't cream of the crop but they have been making noise lately.
Yeah but Napoli only recently started doing that when they sold Cavani and qualified for CL... Dortmund was bankrupt like 10 years ago
