You guys are crazy. The man is a substitute on a team that is not very deep and the starter at his position is hurt. You would think his job is to fill in and not screw up, but he did much more than that the past three games, he did very well. By reading these forums you would think he is dirt, and I did not buy any of it, and he still exceeded my expectations and justified Susic's faith in him. For example, against Lithuania there were parts of the game when the rest of the team looked complacent and slow, just passing the ball around without ideas, and Vrsajevic was pushing forward on his side and making crosses into the box. He is the only one on that side and he was both defending and attacking admirably, he really has a motor he never stopped running. He was picking up the rest of the team clearly and leaving his heart on the field. I was watching on ESPN3 (at work ) and the speaker, an Englishman who did not have a bias, singled him out and said that he is the one who is putting pressure on the Lithuanians. But that's beside the point, even if you don't like a player's game you don't have to trash him and be vulgar about it, especially especially if its a guy who who gives his best effort and is a good soldier. If he was a bad guy, bad influence on the team, or didn't try very hard it would be a different story, but Vrso is the opposite of that.
It seems we shouldn't have any shitty players as a small nation according to some... Idk I like Avdija he is a good backup RB and he does give his heart out compared to lets say Ibricic.
My god does Avdija suck, he should be no where near our team This meme perfectly summarizes his performance from last night, he crosses went u pick materinu
I very much appreciate his effort and love for the NT but he cannot be anywhere near Brazil , he is simply not up to the standard of player needed to put forth a respectable performance at the WC
He'll never get the boot. Its a psychological thing with Susic. As a player of incredible technique in the past, at some points in his career he secretly wanted to be the huge bulky guy who destroys everything in his path or the speed demon who bursts down the wings to see how it would feel like. That's where his comments on Pjanic having to build muscle and look like Ronaldo and his favoritism for Vrsajevic comes from.
Ladies and gentlemen. I just went to http://www.livescore.com/ and then I saw this. AVDIJA VRSAJEVIC HAS SCORED AGAINST OSIJEK.
CNN Reports that 21 players mysteriously collapsed during a Hajduk-Osijek game, with Avdija Vrsajevic being the only player unaffected. It took Vrsajevic about a minute to realize that he can just walk to the opposing goal and score, but not before he attempted a couple crosses to no one.
Playing for our National team may earn him a transfer to Sivasspor, not a bad side 406839576435490816 is not a valid tweet id
If he didn't play for the national team, it is likely he would stay in the HNL and not make much more progress than that for his career. This exposure has done a lot of good for him, and this would be a great move considering he'd be facing tough opposition in a top 10 league, week in and week out. Oh, and did I mention Sivasspor is 5th in the Turkish League right now?!? Now that I think about it, maybe Vrsajevic is pretty good at RW but he doesn't perform as well as for the national team as he does for club because we have only played him out of position.
If Susic did that with Hodzic, Duljevic, Grahovac, Cocalic, and others they'd all be playing in the Bundesliga by now.
I remember watching some girl(i think @Sudzuka posted) dancing and talking about Vrsajevic..lol..Weirdest shit ever.
