    THE ARSENAL VS SOUTHAMPTON
    NOVEMBER 23, 2013
    NBC SPORTS EST 10:00

After an unlucky result at OT I'm sure the boys and ourselves are ready for the international break to be over so we can get back to winning ways. It won't be an easy match considering Southampton is in incredible form under Pochettino. The good news is that we should have Theo back and who knows, maybe Poldi and Chambo aren't that far along. Winning at home is a must against any squad and I'm positive that we will be able to get the 3 points. It won't be easy but we have the talent and I think that losing away to OT was more of a blessing in disguise as it'll force the boys to get lost in the hype. The 23rd can't come soon enough, COYG! KILL!!

I fear a letdown in this one. We have 90% of our exhausted, mostly-injured squad out playing international games. They have Rickie Lambert probably playing 15 minutes of one meaningless game.

    1-1.

We need our boys to get rested and get healthy.

How many games are they playing? I imagine 2 at the very most and more than likely not 90 minutes. I feel that we should be fit for this game, willing there don't get injured. I also feel that Theo being available will be huge, regardless, it'll be a close game.

We need to pull Ramsey out of the Wales squad. I'm actually a little surprised this hasn't happened yet. They've got a meaningless friendly, and we're basically playing 2 hard-fought games every week from now till New Year's. Two weeks rest now is a big deal.

As for Giroud and the other Frenchies, there's nothing really that can be done about that. They're obviously going to play in a playoff to get to the World Cup if they still have two legs attached to their hips. We just have to make sure we have Walcott ready to play CF.

If Theo couldn've been back for Man U, surely he should be back for this one?

Let's hope so. We need him.

Keeping Ramsey out of Wales action is a good idea... not sure if we will play that card.

Getting Theo back would be nice, but I don't think you can put too much stock in him for this match. He's been out quite a long time.

Still we're at home so as long as the crowd isn't a library we should squeak out a win I suppose.

I think this will be a very tough game 2-0 to the Arsenal

So frustrating to be top of the table and still have the same old "squad is wayyyy too thin" problems.
At least we're out of the League Cup. I fully expect at least one player to return injured from the international break.
Here's hoping the boys can pull out a win at the Emriates when they return.

Am I the only one who feels like Ozil's bug and Wilshere's ankle would be enough to rule them out of these internationals entirely if they played for a United or Chelsea instead of Arsenal?

And Lambert is out for England for their first game at least. No word on if he will be fit for our game.

Not too thin, just too injured.

If we had a healthy Ox, Theo and Poldi I'm not sure we'd be too worried.

Our loss at OT wasn't "unlucky". We played sloppy uninspired football. The fatigue that may have contributed to that should not be a factor for this one. I hope to see us play like a team that wants the title and will fight for it. I didn't see that at OT. We need to bring bodies back to play as well, even if their not quiete 100%. Theo, Ox, Poldi have got to be pretty damn close by now. And yeah, the 23rd seems like an eternity away.

No one really believes we can/will win the league, not even diehard Arsenal fans.

Incorrect. We can win the league. It's possible, but there are a lot of icebergs to be avoided.

Not sure where post #15 went, or what it said, but this trend towards people deleting their embarrassing posts entirely has to stop now! :p

I am so sick of hearing this shit. Just because a team fails to perform doesn't mean they don't 'want it' enough.

Reading the comments/blogs of many diehard Arsenal fans there is not a lot of faith that the club can win the league. Just check twitter.

Call me crazy but I'm one of those guys that believes we can win it every year. As soon as the season starts whatever happened in the previous year is out of my mind. This year we have a special squad. We just need 1 more signing and a little luck injury wise and we're golden, in my opinion.
