Apparently a 99' with an Italian passport is heading to Aston Villa. He's been in U14 camps before and was previously with NYRB. Saw this on the USAprospects Twitter. Not sure if that person posts on here but they do a great job of tracking young players. (It's not me I swear) https://twitter.com/USAprospects

Kyle Gruno, a Center Back who plays two years up on the Red Bulls U13." http://www.soccerpubs.com/boards/lofiversion/index.php?t40469.html
This article says he will be trialling at Liverpool: http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/club-soccer-articles/liverpool-real-madrid-after-us-teens_aid28581
That article also mentions that Nick Taitague may be heading to Real Madrid(who he scored against) later this year for a trial. Not enough to warrant its own thread I think, but interesting nonetheless.
Perhaps news on this player soon? Kyle Gruno @Kyle_Gruno_13h At the airport getting ready to go to my new home in England. Won't be back home until Christmas time. Bi jersey
I did a little perusing of his twitter page. It looks like Southampton to me. He's been retweeting a lot of Southampton news recently such as their results and Charles Boehm (MLS writer) tweeted at him "May the saints be with you" which he subsequently retweeted. If it is indeed true, Southampton is a great club and good for him.
Looks like it's Leicester City: Kyle Gruno@Kyle_Gruno_ Home for Christmas then back to England with the squad #lcfc
He just finished a US U15 camp where they played at the USSDA Winter Showcase against Weston FC, NYRB, and De Anza Force U16s. The team went 1-1-1 in those matches.
He's been called up with the U15s to go to Abu Dhabi: http://www.ussoccer.com/news/u-15-boys/2014/01/140129-uae-camp-rel.aspx
Has this been officially announced, beyond the U.S. Soccer release? I can't find any mention of Gruno on the club site, though that is not unusual for a player of his age; I can see from his Twitter that he says he's there, but is it a schoolboy deal, academy slot, extended training, something else?
Only problem with the US Soccer release is that it says he is at Leicester FC. That's a rugby club. Seriously - They don't tend to give out too many details on the Under 16's. They are even sparse with their match reports.
TDS explains: Kyle Gruno is playing with Leicester City, and while an official deal has to wait until next year when he turns 16, all signs are pointing to an agreement between the two parties. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/club-soccer-articles/us-youth-defender-in-england_aid32598 Gruno is a '99, which means he is eligible for the current U17 cycle though he would be on the younger end of the roster (since it's a '98-dominated group).
He has a Jan 20 1999, DOB so he should be able to hang with the older boys http://ussda.demosphere.com/teams/60852305/60870640-60852392/64170651.html
