VSI seems to to have some deep pockets and some grandiose plans. I dont really care about their plans to go to MLS but if they can pull off the modular stadium fro 2013 and it looks anything like the one on their website , they will be off to a good start.

The next month is going to be tough I have a feeling. I was told Paterson has a trial with NYRB, Cuevas with San Jose in January, Mueller was playing for the Sounders reserves this post season. Rickter was doing the same in Philly.

Turn over is high in the lower divisions, it is especially high for a Championship team as the players attract more attention. But it seem like Auggie always fines a couple players that raises some eyebrows.

Hope we was training during his three month long trip to South America!

I love our guys getting MLS chances but its tough to see them go for selfish reasons.

Good that he seems to have recovered from his 2012 injury, it would be great to see him again, maybe he can at least stick around Vancouver till after the CCC.

And if he ever cuts his beard and his hair, we won't even recognize him.

With the Rowdies 2010 Inaugural Season in the books and Julian Valentin no longer with the club, the captain’s armband had no owner at the start of the 2011 preseason. Days into the preseason, newly hired Head Coach Ricky Hill saw a newcomer who seemed to have the strength and commitment to become the 2011 Rowdies Captain. That player was defender Frankie Sanfilippo, who had joined the Rowdies after spending the 2010 season with the Rochester Rhinos

Good on him. Went over and viewed some of the comments in SJ board and was frankly astonished at all the negative comments. Your INTERIM coach took a mottly group of players halfway thru the season when they were the doormat of the league & their season basically already over and all he did was post the best record of any team for the remainder of the season. AND, guided them into the knock out rounds of the CCL. What else do they want? What other measure of performance are you looking for other than wins and points? Apparently they didn't like winning ugly 1-0 games. Hey, if you're looking for beautiful flowing soccer, you need to look at another league cause most of MLS is brutally ugly most of the time.

Omar Daley signed on with Minisoda United (NASL) a couple months ago and scored a hat trick in their final match of the season. http://www.nasl.com/index.php?id=3&newsid=5827

I actually have Omar's Battery shirt that he wore in the last game he played for us, the playoff 1-0 win against Rochester (but we lost the series) where he was blowing by their left back so badly & so often they subbed him out in the 20 something minute. All the defender could do was try to grab and hold him......Omar's shirt was ripped at the shoulder seam from the grabbing.....LOL

I missed that somehow. Omar was a nice guy and his speed would kill most defenders.

California Cowboy (Cody Ellison) scores for Fresno Fuego PDL squad against the LA Galaxy II....first match for the baby Gals. Was trying to find the lineups to see if Jose Cuevas suited up for the Fuegs but never found them.
