They need to stay dry!!! Keep your humidity level lower. I suggest using damprid to pull moisture out of the air where you dry your boots. Pull out the insoles and let them dry out fully. And keep checking on them for suspicious growth. Good luck.

Some sort of antibacterial cleaner might help keep the mould at bay, Dettol or something like that, not sure it'll be great for the boots though.

    it is.

i'm hoping to get some feedback soon from someone who bought a pair (in white, and with the "liga" soles)... it seems to me that for someone who loves copas, words fail to describe what these would be like. did you notice the stitching on the front? well, d'oh, they're ain't none.

if they're as durable as copas then 119E is actually pretty affordable.

How are the latest Preds and Nike CTR for a more narrow footed player?

from the lady who turned me on to this comapny i get the impression that if you go to their atelier to be fitted the personalization options are almost unlimited (but not for 119€:D )

it's a good question since the website is a little sketchy. the headquarters are in le havre (france) but the shoes are apparently made in italy.

since my question has solicited more interest than answers (i thought you guys would know all about this! you're supposed to be the boot geeks!) i'll contact them directly for more info.

Yo, Rooster - have you thought about putting them in the freezer? Maybe stick them in a ziplock or something and leave them in the freezer overnight - that should kill any bacteria.

Just make sure they're absolutely bone dry before you do it, otherwise the moisture being trapped and frozen could do funny things to the leather.

I can't imagine this would cause problems with the glue in the soleplate as long as you thaw them out naturally (don't stick them on the radiator or the rapid change in temperature could cause the glue to lose it's bonding properties).

Congrats on your nuptials and I hope you can fix your Tiempos!

freezing doesn't kill bacteria at all. sticking them in a 200 degree for 20 minutes might do the trick, but again the damage might be worse than the solution.

I've found it's great for getting rid of the smell of stuff that's started to go a bit funky. e.g. I'm terrible for leaving my shaker in my gym bag over a weekend and it smells of baby puke. But a night in the freezer after a good wash and it's spot-on, presumably because it stops the microbes reproducing, or at least slowing down their growth.

Was hoping it might be the same for the boots!

Thanks for the replys guys! I have found a product from dubbin that eliminates mould from leather, so if it persists I'll try that!

Can't speak on the preds but I have a few friends who only wear preds and they say they're just the same as the old ones. Then again when I asked what the Lz1s were like he said they felt the same as the adipower, he wasn't a big boot guy.

I have narrow feet and my ctrs fell to bits very quickly but they gave a really good fit. I got the premiers and went down half a size and they fit perfectly but you really need to try them on as some people say they're a bit small made.

It is HG Japan. Very stable in dry pitches and they run shorter too.
