One thing I know for sure is, I didn't expect us to go undefeated this season. Maybe some others did. Reality is a mighty b**ch. Time to pick up whats left and look towards the next game. Ancelotti needs to get his shit together or our team is gonna lose a lot of confidence going forward.

We've gone through goodness knows how many managers since VDB left and haven't won the coveted la decima. Just throwing money at something and expecting immediate results isn't going to get you what you desire. We've been made fun of for our loose relationships with our managers and lack of patience for exactly how we're reacting right now.
I'm sure Florentino would've listened to our pleas if we asked nicely not to sell Oezil. We wanted Isco and Bale? We lost Oezil. We wanted peace and stability in the team? We got rid of Mourinho and got Ancelotti. There's a price for everything.

Pretty sure it's not normal to rage over Diego Costa and then burst our crying over your hate for Diego Costa.

Yep. This just happened right as I got home from work.

Give him the minutes and the trust they give Bezema and he will get his shooting boots on eventually. Higuain took a bit of time to get his finishing right when he first came to our club. Eventually with consistent minutes he got going and took his chances. If we're patient with him like we were with Higuain I think he'll produce.

Partially true, but Mou has also been hit and miss when it comes to changing the flow of the game.

As long as Benz stays at the top of that tree we can't score shit irrespective of the number of chances created by the tree below :D

Cristiano Ronaldo faced the facts after the match: "It wasn't our day. We weren't on. The manager has nothing to do with it. He is doing a great job. The fault is on the players, we are the ones that have to improve".

"We have to keep our heads up because the league is complicated. The good thing is that this loss has come early. I have a lot of hope for winning something important this year. I played poorly and so did my teammates", he said.

"Personally I am happy with Ancelotti, he is one of the best coaches I have ever had", he concluded.

Why don't we brainstorm ways to decompress formations that play very compact (which seems to be our biggest weakness at the moment, offensively)? Anyone got any ideas? In situations like this, we usually need players who play well off the ball and know how to "stretch" the defense by running out into wide or open spaces. And usually if we don't fall to the compactness of a defense, we fall to the off side trap, which theoretically we should beat because we have players with very high acceleration that can get out to the ball (but that's not usually the case).

He's trying to be a leader and trying to take the pressure off the coach. What do you want him to say? "We don't believe in our coach, it's all his fault"? I don't see much wrong with the rest of his statement.

As much as I'm concerned with the attacking, look at our defensive performance so far.No clean sheet.
We concede goals even against Villarreal,Elche ffs. We'd got a rough idea as to how tough it was going to be breaking down the Atleti defence in 1st 15 minutes. They were maintaining the shape so well, not allowing even a single ball pass through the 4 man midfield.
I'm really shocked to see Barcelona with their piss poor back 4 are still superior to us at "defending as a team".Remember they couldn't get hold of the 4th choice CB in this summer and still the defence stands rock solid.

Tough game to endure as a fan. I am not panicking yet though. Ancelloti is a great coach but I think his biggest challenge is improving the team's attitude!! Lack of attitude is what cost us today and against Elche... Atletico pressed well but did not play an amazing game.. What they have more than us is attitude! Ancelloti has to find a way for our "Divas" (at the moment) to fight for each other . Just look at how much time we gave their players in midfield... ... Attitude..Effort...and Sacrifice...that's what we need.

Oh...and Benz HAS GOT TO BE BENCHED and we need a new striker ASAP!! ASAP

The best part of Mou leaving, i thought, was going to be no more CBs hoofing the ball up 50 meters in case there is a .0001% chance the team gets lucky. We would see possession based, building from the back, blabh blahb blabh...yet what have we seen from Mr. Pepe and Mr. Ramos? They think they are field goal kickers, for no reason at all they launch the ball 50 meters in the air.

I would take more losses, if only I didn't have to see this tactic. But I may be destined to see it for the rest of my days as long as Pepe plays on this team. He sees himself as Pirlo's prodigy, except from the CB position.

Well certainly not throwing all defenders from the bench just to defend 1-0 against Elche.

How exactly can you blame Pepe and Ramos for the long balls when it's the clueless coach's fault for not doing anything in day to day trainings to improve things and better plan everything to make sure his system works in matches? Those two have been far more creative for us so far this season than anyone other than Isco or Modric which is pathetic from the rest of the players who have much more attacking responsibilities on them than the freaking centerbacks.

At this point I'm looking forward to Ancelotti's dumbass getting kicked out of Madrid and I hope when that happens that Perez follows him out the door. Time to restructure the club and start under a new management with a better policy. The fans have had enough with this crap of just buying star individuals, lack of bite, hard work, and leadership on the pitch, as well as the failure to build a real, competitive team with all the quality at the manager's disposal. Enough is enough. This clown (Perez) must go.

And please, I beg, someone take Khedira out of here as well. The most useless player I have ever seen put on a Real Madrid shirt in a long, long time and that takes some doing with the kind of shit we have had here.

We haven't looked this bad since the days of Garcia Remon. No one in the world can explain what our style is right now, not even what it is a trace of. Simply awful and it's all on idiots like Perez and Ancelotti. Just ******** off already.

I wonder if Ancelotti will ever play Varane, let alone as a starter. He has given Nacho a chance and that went to hell. Is he going to look at Varane the same way because Nacho blew it for the "young defenders" bunch? I was thrilled for the Ramos-Varane pair, they looked excellent together, a partnership for the next 4-5 years. Heck, our biggest mistake of last season happened because we had to break up the pair (Ramos had a red card). I stand by my belief that even as young as Varane is, he plays better than Pepe, and his worst game is definitely not as bad as Pepe's worst game. Arbeloa is actually surprising me, he isn't exactly shining, but so far he has made less mistakes than he had last season. But mostly it looks like a lack of defensive discipline and poor marking. It's the CB's that get blown to shit, I think if we give Varane a chance things may change. We just need to get him match ready by at least playing him against some weaker opposition...but the way this is going, we may as well be scared of the weak teams too.

Oh another thing for you guys to chew over...

Remember a few months ago when a few of us where screaming for more physicality and aggression and athleticism in our midfield? Remember the Illarra fiasco? Why some of us thought that the Illarra signing was not the solution for our problems against physical intense sides a la " Dortmund" "Bayern". Well guess how Atletico play? You guessed it? They play fucking hard. Double fucking hard. We simply couldn't compete. We should have thrown all our money at Mr. Arturo Vidal and tell Bale to go fuck himself.

Even though Illarra is doing decent, it is obvious he was not the solution for our problems. We still have the same stinking problem against these teams. Only now it is worse under Ancelotti as we are playing with a complete lack of aggression and fight 'cause everybody is so bloody happy with themselves.
