If the Metrostars didn't start off as NY/NJ I would not have followed them. Only team in the area beisdes them I follow are the Devils, everything else is far away. Not really bothered by the RB name. I'll take it over a Real, FC, AC, SC, ect so and so of a team any day. This is America, we don't name our teams like that.
It was the 1st Tottenham friendly . It was a Wednesday night. There was no trackwork flyers .. just an announcement over the loudspeaker that we were going local
I live in nj. I love MLS. Started watching mls first and I really can't get into European leagues. Call me American biased but I prefer watching our league. As much as I follow mls , I'm not really into red bulls. Not sure if it's because of the name (the fact that it's NY And/or it's named after an energy drink). But say a 2nd new York team moves in to queens and red bulls become NJ (even ny/nj), yes I would support them. I'm so pro new jersey and proud that they would be my team.
Coming from a fan of AC Milan and Italia who resides in New Jersey. Is your favorite American player Giuseppe Rossi? Have you ever attended an MLS game or a US nat game?
Of course Rossi is one of my favorites. I have season tickets for Redbull and been to several USMNT games. Even been out to London for Milan/Arsenal this March for Champions League. Your point is?

Considering the clown show that is Chivas, I really hope the 2 soccer teams in NY/NJ works out significantly better.
