    Per Stoke Loud & Proud

As SL&P and the Fortress told you on July 12th that Stoke City are very interested in signing Juan Agudelo from New England Revolution. At the moment talks are proceeding as to signing him, he is a very sort after striker and hope that no other club get wind of the deal before it is concluded

With Pulis out its not as ugly of an idea as it would have been i think Juan should find a better situation. He'd probably be better off starting his career at a lower level and improving his game without all the pressure.

New England is about as low pressure as it gets. Well, other than Chivas USA

I don't know if he'll meet the WP requirements for minimum appearances for the NT. Last time he played was against Russia in 2012.

They could loan him out to a Belgian club.

Seems STOKE is loading up on talented players on the cheap.

It's not a bad strategy. You find the prospects, hope they develop, and then sell them for a nice profit. For a smaller club that's competing in the Prem, you have to find a way to make some money to find some higher end talent - or find yourself relegated. Financial Fair Play is going to crush the smaller clubs in top flights.

Plus I think Belgium is easier to get passports or visas or something for foreign players compared to other EU members

And watching Juan play...I wish he stuck with NYRB, so he could learn along side Henry on how to be a striker. One gets the feeling he doesn't really know what he's doing from one minute to the next, tactically.

I would be STOKED to see Agudelo in the Prem.

Exactly. Still don't get why he moved. Even if he was a sub all season, it was worth it to learn from 1 of the best strikers of the past decade.

It wasn't just Juan's decision. Yes he was tired of Backe not giving him a lot of playing time, but also RBNY kind of gave up on him, and we also go Pearce at a steep discount.

I'm not buying it yet. The only source reporting this is a Stoke fan Twitter account which follows as many people as it has followers.

There was buildup to the announcement, so I'd say there's a bit of truth to it.

And the guy running SL&P has connections within the club.

Seems to be pretty obviously BS (and that doesn't stand for Big Soccer)

Would be a decent move too because Hooper has left.

I actually think Celtic would be a pretty good move. Playing time surrounded by good players and would also get Champions league competition. Would be a good first move. First this kid really just needs to stay healthy.

He should go to a developmental league as Jozy finally did before he goes to the BPL and a team like Stoke.
