Phoenix FC wants to move its last three home games from Sun Devil Stadium to Reach 11. Now, I like Reach 11. It's right by my house. But it's not an acceptable professional facility, by any means. And I bought tickets for the finale at Sun Devil Stadium. Matt, you have season tickets. I'm not even sure - maybe they can on field one - they can even control ingress and egress, or sell tickets. I have seen a lot of teams come and go. I have never seen one fall off the cliff from such height so quickly.
You definitely can not charge for tickets at Reach 11, Monsoon tried it and got denied. We have 45 season ticket holders in LFR's section, plus more that bought in other sections. This would be a huge slap in the face to everyone, especially after everything we've dealt with from the team. Can you cite a source?
I wonder if I'll have to get new season tickets again First set were 301 GA Second set were A Third set will be east slab.
We have some members that live up in Anthem, I'm sure they'll be able to appreciate it too. In other news, are the Sahuaros coming back?
So Kenn or Killersheep - what's the likelihood that this team is done after this season? I know that it was reported somewhere (forget where) that the team was going to get a cash infusion after the season but... will that be enough to keep them afloat to survive for season 2? On an aside, I thought they seemed to be off to a nice start (from afar) but this feels a lot like AC St. Louis from a few years ago...
This is ridiculous. I have season tickets too... and live in south Chandler. I don't think I'll be buying season tickets next year even if they stay at Sun Devil.
"Everything in life is 50/50." --- Mr. Tony There's always that chance, isn't there? You certainly could push the reset button if someone came in and bought the thing and had the resources to start working towards next year right away and was prepared to spend and lose a lot of money in the effort. It certainly doesn't appear as though this ownership group has resources remaining. It's looking like it's going to limp to the finish. Then what happens is up to the whims of a potential owner, I guess.
Unfortunately, this is not the most disturbing thing I've read this morning, but not much is more disturbing than what I have to deal with at work sometimes. I'll go to the Reach 11 games, but I feel like I am the victim of a bait and switch after buying season tickets for games at Sun Devil. I'm also leaning towards being done with this team. I wish I could just give my money straight to the players instead of being ripped off by a bunch of FO clowns. I'm definitely not buying season tickets next year. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, they may have to give me tickets to get me to go to a game next season. Suing the team for breach of contract crossed my mind, but they have no money anyways.
Well mathematically, if they lose and sweep the last 3 home games by a good margin AND Dayton, Pittsburgh and Wilmington shit the bed they can make it, but yeah realistically it's already done.
I think they could only get to 28 points if they lose tomorrow. Eight teams already have more than 28 points. A draw tomorrow gets them to 20 points with 9 possible points left. Eight teams already have 30+.
