Thanks for that - I'll repeat what I've said before, Rivero has not shown anything close to being worth that much.
Yeah. Maybe if he had been playing all year, and improving. Distribute and make runs with the ball like last year, but also hit some shots, improve on his set pieces, that sort of thing.
So, I am wondering if the price for Rivero is going to be too much for what the Rapids are seeing in practice and this signing is to take Rivero's place?? rod
Not that we really needed it but Hinchey confirms in today's Post article that it is Torres we're signing. He does not confirm or deny the DP status.
Did this guy really come at the God? as i see it you are a peasant living in an ant hill. may i ask what d&d is and what a basement is? If you want to attack me do in in private message or meet me in person.... all i'm saying. anywhoo. If they are reporting in the newspapers alot my skepticism just got thrown out the window. Being a season ticket holder from 2000 till 2009. I've heard the word dp more then a porn star being throw around with the rapids name..... every year it fails in the final stages..... I'm really hoping this doesn't turn into one of those as if it does i don't know how much i can live with broken promises.
You keep calling people out to "meet you in person" but when people tell you where they'll be you don't show. Stop being an internet thug.
no one has ever said lets meet up. only person i've ever said to meet me is you jasonma and you said meet you at the game. I don't want to fight anyone But have a civil discussion about differences and how we can put them past both parties is all i've ever intrigued to do.
I did a quick youtube search on Torres. Here is a video of two goals: This one is a bit longer, so you will have to weed through some boring footage for some decent goals: And a third one with a SLEEPY soundtrack: And finally, a longer one with a good synopsis of his goals. Look around the 4:15 mark for one that looks a lot like Brown, just with a score at the end : I wouldn't mind seeing some of this in Colorado to help us get not only in to the playoffs, but actually win a few games! Then make a serious run for the next few years. rod.
Tweet from Bianchi during this evenings match: Told #Rapids expect to officially announce Torres signing this week, likely Monday.
Given the way the story "leaked" on Wednesday going into Mexico-Panama I wonder if the Rapids were planning on a late-week announcement Thursday or Friday on the assumption Torres would be free after losing to Mexico, only for Panama to win and force the announcement to be delayed to next week.
We are going to have to get rid of a player or two are we not? Bringing in Torres and then possibly another "goal scorer" later this week?
Torres would be our 31st player if you count Eloundou, but until Eloundou is actually eligible he doesn't get added to our roster. Calderon on IR also doesn't count so technically we have room to add two players until Eloindou or Calderon are eligible for selection. And in case you're wondering, Colorado currently has 9 international spots with 8 used (including Calderon and Eloundou). Torres would be 9 but we'd still have room to sign two more as long as Eloundou or Calderon aren't eligible.
How much would it suck to be Hill or Castrillon? It certainly doesn't sound like they have much hope of seeing playing time. Brown/Buddle/Harris may also see their days as starters numbered. With our defense playing well again, I am feeling optimistic. But then again, I am usually the optimistic one on the board! rod
From David Ramsey of Colorado Springs Gazette http://gazette.com/ramsey-adding-pa...orres-a-smart-move-for-rapids/article/1504068 He too makes it sound like it's a done deal and we could be seeing Torres on the pitch v RSL.
