They look really nice! I was wondering if they are more comfortabel then the vapors because i am considering to get these or either the black charcoal vapors. What's your opinion?
My hypervenoms came in today. They remind me of the vapors a bit regarding extremely tight fit, but the material is day and night of a difference. The NikeSkin has a stretchy feel to it, but its still tight, which is the exact reason im selling them. The boot overall feels very very "Stiff"
All along i've never been sure about the HV upper, it just looks clumsy? does that make sense? I look like a very bulky boot to me and not light enough or have a thin enough upper to be an agility boot. They look great in promo pictures - its when they are on the players feet that they don't looks as smart. appleCORR
I mean, they are light dont get me wrong, but yes they do kind of feel clumsy in a sense. If i would have tried them on after my vapors i would have thought they were the best boot in the world, but im starting to use my adizero 3's( or the micoaches )and for wide feet there perfect and so comfortable so I guess my opinion is a bit biased hehe
I guess .... maybe we should wait and see what other people think who have worn them to see how much they give after a couple of wears. Adizeros 3s were my favourite Adizeros they are a great boot! ... back to Nike lol. appleCORR
Disagree on the clumsy feeling. They are only 12 grams heavier than my MVXV and the upper is surprisingly flexible. No worse than the vapor upper IMO.
Look forward to hearing what you think of them after a few wears! hopefully you'll write a review for us? appleCORR
I think it's the bright orange upper. Bright colors tend to make the boots look huge IMO. Like the black/fluo green (or whatever it was called) Tiempos. They looked great in pictures and even in person when not being worn, but that neon green sole plate looked horrible on TV. Made the players feet look like they were oversized.
I think thats what it is - they just don't look right on the feet. I think it was just seeing Rooney in them they looked massive. appleCORR
Still on there in the US. http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/prod...d-boot/?piid=22977&pbid=9401988#?pbid=9401988
Meh, the Hypervenoms fit a bit too big... I think I might send back my pair and get them .5 size smaller. edit: Annnd they are gone... Not impressed tbh, the boots have a pretty sloppy fit and the soleplate is extremely stiff.. Might just get my money back and ID some Tiempos..
No doubt. I'm currently traveling but will post my thoughts once I get some pitch time after the 4th. They exceeded my expectations out of the box although I wish the fit differed more from the vapor than it does. If the upper gives a bit for me I think it has some promising characteristics.
Hm that´s wierd. Why would it be available in US but not EU? Also anyone has any news if the HV will be available for nikeID anytime soon?
I've been a T90 wearer a couple of years and I thought that they fit my reasonably wide feet perfectly. Sad to see the line discontinued, but then again I understand the fact that it probably didn't sell very well. I see many people are slagging the Laser III's and I was the same when I first saw them. But the World Cup elites totally changed my mind. They were very comfortable, super durable (even on artificial grass) and I liked the bladed stud pattern as well. But that was the only colorway that made the boots look good, the other colorways made it look very bulky. Now I'm thinking of getting the HV but at first I didn't like them at all. In my opinion they usually look very bulky on promo pictures. But now that I have seen them on players feet (like Giovinco and Neymar), they have grown on me alot. But Rooney is a poor model for boots! He makes any boot look bad easily and I didn't like the HV's at all when I saw them on him. Maybe it's because he has so thick legs and wears his shinpads so loose his legs have no shape at all if you understand what I mean. The lauch colorway looked bad at first but it has grown on me too and now I really like it. It's sort of orange like Nike world cup elites that I liked, although obviously not the same orange. But I'm wondering if a more solid color would look better. The charcoal ones look smart but would they look too much the same as Vapors? Then again if the boot has different colors like the lauch colorway it looks sort of bulky from some angles. Hard decisions Anyway I would definitely get them with the sg pro stud configuration as that would be the best option for natural grass and the sg studs made the boots look very aggressive. Still I'm wondering how the sg pro stud patters would work if I played on dry grass pitch. Years ago my friend had sg Vapor III's and one of the studs ripped right of when we played on a dry grass pitch although his boots were brand new. I'm also very surprised that shops in Europe are stocking the boots so late in July and the lauch was in early June. What's up with that?
I'm encouraged by this lol. Hopefully when I go to the local store and try them on, they will fit me.
I know - they don't seem to be very popular once people have tried them on their feet. Oh well I guess its giving Nike feedback .... maybe not the feedback they wanted, but feedback none the less! appleCORR
The fit is weird, throughout the mid foot and heel they fit very similar to Vapors, but towards the toe area the fit is just really loose. There was a huge gap between my toes and the end of the boot, along with a the top of the toe area.. Eh maybe it's just that my foot type isn't for the boot, the upper feels extremely nice from right out of the box and I am sure that if people are able to get a good fit they will enjoy them a lot. I just don't feel like sending them back and getting .5 size smaller only to find out I need to go down another .5 size.. EDIT: Also my pair is up for sale in the SwapShop if anyone is interested. Size 9 US.
any local stores sell them that you could try them on before sending back? I went with my normal size on them with i always go .5 up from my normal because 6.5 kills my toes. They felt great. I guess everyone has a different experience with them.
I do have a store to go and try them on at, to be honest i'd rather just sell them and get some money while they still have a lot of hype going on. I know I am just bashing on them but I really didn't like them and there are plenty of things which in my opinion Nike messed up on like the backwards Nike swoosh which looks weird, the Skull on the heel area, the upper also feels as if it won't hold up very well, wouldn't be surprised to see some uppers tearing after a pretty hard tackle. I also think Nike could have done a better job with the colorway, that mango orange/black is pretty over used, just like the blue/yellow colorways. Not really a problem, more like your salvation.
