Good point. But remember, Dempsey can also slide up top as well. Though, he's a surefire starter. I say put our best XI out there and worry about the subs later. If Boyd can't handle 20-30 minutes, he shouldn't be with the team. After he got the Deuce Face last game, he should be ready to go.

Maybe. Can play through, but a root canal can definitely F u up for a few days, personal experience. This is a legitimate concern as he will be <100% for sure.

Christ, why today of all days? He really couldn't have put it off until the day after the game? I must not understand root canals.

I agree that he shouldn't be expected to be at his sharpest. I once played a day after a root canal and while I wasn't in discomfort or anything major, my game sucked more than usual for whatever reason.

A root canal is a pretty traumatic thing. But usually they can be scheduled according to your needs cause they're not emergency situations. Don't know why you'd elect to do it now, the day before a WCQ?

I had an emergency root canal one time. Prior to the root canal, It was the worst pain of my life.

Worse than the two Achilles' tendon ruptures I had.

DMB clearly misremembered this commercial and forgot which team he played for.

Brad Friedel had 2 fillings once. He had them filled with actual dentists.
He needed a root canal, so they hired John Findley Wallace

I'd be glad to have Jones back next week, but I sure hope for his sake that this was a careful, conservative decision. I'd really rather err on the side of caution here.

If Beas is not 100% it wouldn't surprise me to see Castillo start in his place, Corona in front of him, like it was done last year with the xolos, and FJ in the right. EJ can also play the LM position and probably should since he will be playing in front of his home crowd.

I will also take Cameron as the CDM...as long as he keeps a Cool head and does not commit stupid fouls...he should do the Jones job just fine.
