Perhaps the last soccer game at the Metrodome! Strikers need a win to keep the slim Spring hopes alive.

Watch Party at Fox & Hounds - 4812 N Dixie Hwy in Oakland Park. Just south of Commercial, 5 minutes east of Lockhart.

Love the passion DR, but he spring has been over since week 5. It was embarrassing that photo the team had on the website this week about the tie against Carolina keeping us in the title hunt. Ugh. This format sucks. It's going to be a two horse race between Carolina and Tampa unfortauntely. Minnesota is going to be out of it...because I am predicting the Strikers deal them a huge blow by going in and taking three points from them this week! That's right, despite our complete lack of finishing and the coach's prideful response to it leaving Herron to watch games from section 104, I'm predicting another road win for the Strikers this week! No real rhyme or reason for it except I think Minnesota isn't playing up to their potential, and it's because Campos and Barbara sound like a great combination on paper, but come clutch time they don't deliver with goals, just whining and crying on the field! Matty G will have a big game, and the Strikers will win 2 - 1. Hopefully we see Hassan up top at least this week since I know we won't see Herron. Maybe he can get some scoring touch going from up top.

90'+ goal surrendered to lose the match after having a 1-0 lead. Missed chances, linesman was no help, what else is new on the road for the Strikers.

7 points back of Carolina, 6 back of Atlanta, both with a game in hand. 9 possible points left to get. It's over.

DR, I told you it was over after week 4. Too many teams to jump over in too little time, even if we had found a way to go on some kind of run. This format HAS to go. It sucks. If we were still under last year's format, despite being in the basement, we'd still have hope of making a second half push to get into the playoffs, and from there anything can happen. Instead, we're dead in the water, might very well lose our coach (some might not thin that's a bad thing) and I see no reason to be very optimistic about the second "half" season being any better. The vaunted transfer window opening isn't going to do much of anything for us, except maybe allow us to sign Paulo Jr. But considering the first half San Antonio has had, if Minnesota doesn't win this half, and the Cosmos wanting to go all out in the second half, I'm guessing we could easily lose a bidding war for him. I hate being pessimistic, but this season has been a huge fail on the field. We need a stadium announcement (IN SAWGRASS!!!) to energize fans for the rest of this season!
