JHON CÓRDOBA FUE VENDIDO A JAGUARES

Great replacement for Jackson. Jhon showed that he has a lot of potential and in Jaguares I hope he'll show it even more then in Envigado. very similar to Jackson in his game and I', looking forward to see his co-op with Arizala & rey. along side with Jimenez, Jaguares is the most "Colombian" team in Mexico. ;)

Is any Colombian team getting any transfer cash for him?

I tried to look and see for how much did he go but I couldn't find. On the other hand, don't forget that he still didn't do shit in the local league so I don't think Envigado can earn something serious from him.

Fue figura excluyente del partido junto con Rey, participó en 3 de los 4 goles. Y anotó su primer gol en Mexico.

With all the NFL games I forgot about Jagaures. Thanks for the video. Baal.

Cordoba looks like he can be a very good player in the future.
And that was Arizala with the last goal too.

Yes, Arizala scored the 4th goal, just like another Faustino scored a 4th goal like that 19 years ago...

Glad to see that things are finally going well for Jhon, because he's really a good player, surely for Jaguares but since the team perfomed horrible so far, so is Jhon.

Epa, se parece mucho a Jackson, me parece que este man es mas rapido, toca esperar a ver que tipo de delantero se vuelve, si uno completo, con tecnica, fuerza, velocidad y gol, o uno chambón como Robayeguas.

yo no estoy tan deacuerdo...

I never want a Colombian to stay in the Mexi league. It's the same crap as the Colombian league but you get paid on time. The level isn't that great and Mexico is more dangerous than Colombia. His team has way too many Colombian forwards as it is. Best bet is loan to a Colombian team where he will start then Europe. I just find it funny that currently failing in Mexico is better than failing in Europe.

If you fail in Mexico you can always go back to Colombia.

If you fail in Colombia your home country what do you do as a footballer?

Much of Northern Mexico is lawless at the moment... In comparison, Bogota alone is 17 per 100,000, and the country as a whole is 32 per 100,000 (was as high as 80 per 100,000 in the early 90s). By the way, whether Mexico or Colombia, both are still unacceptably too high when you compare it to industrialized nations where the rate is 5 or lower. "Let them eat cake" as the 'poor' just continue to kill each other....

The study named the Honduran district of Cortés, where San Pedro Sula is located, as the most violent district in the world, with 122 murders per every 100,000 people overall. In 2010, the Citizen Council found that Mexico’s Chihuahua state was the most violent jurisdiction, but it has since reduced its murder rate from 200 killings per 100,000 citizens to 94, the New York Daily News notes.
Of the world’s 50 most violent cities, 40 are in Latin America; 14 are in Brazil, 12 are in Mexico and five are in Colombia. Mexico lays claim to five of the top 10 urban areas listed in the study.

Heh, James was nowhere near a finished product when he joined us. That's why he barely played in the first few months, very raw tactically. And even Falcao improved quite a bit under Jesualdo, especially in terms of ball reception, he's said so himself. Jackson is the one who was a ready product when he came in.

But you forgot Guarin. He was nothing but potential when he joined us.

Anyway, I reckon this guy's youtube highlights give me a Renteria vibe :D

Ha! For an 18 or 19 year old James was about at solid as you'll find but I take your point and think this is why Porto is so successful as a selling club - they add value to the kids thy buy cheap by really developing their skills...expect wason!

Say what you want but I have to agree that a move to Porto for most of these Colombians has been a positive experience. The Porto fans showed great support to these players and in return these players played their butts off.

Well Cordoba to me seems have better work ethic and just goes out there like a bull ready to attack people with brute strength (yet still has a bit of skill and technique).

I love Wason but he seems a bit more lackadaisical, and tries too many fancy finese moves that just don't work all the time.

Cordoba reminds me of Ibarbo just slower. I think he has a shot at developing to be a great CF while Ibarbo would be a great winger.

    yup, exactly.

As per UNDOC, Mexico has a Homicide rate of 23.7 per 100,000 in 2012 whereas Colombia's is 31.4 per 100,000 in 2012. Also, when you take into consideration that in 2000 the Homicide Rate in Mexico was 14.11 per 100, 000 compared to Colombia's astonishing Homicide rate of 82.74 in 2000, you'll find that most of Mexico's Homicides are exclusively drug related unlike Colombia who not only has to deal with Drug Cartels but terrorist or revolutionary (however you want to see it) organizations like FARC.

    Sources: http://www.unodc.org/documents/data-and-analysis/statistics/crime/Homicide_statistics2012.xls and http://www.unodc.org/unodc/crime_survey_ninth.html.

Aside from that Mexico scores higher on the Quality of Life Index with a score of 87.94 vs Colombia's 35.05 and scored higher on the Human Development Index (HDI) with a score of 0.775 compared to Colombia's 0.719.

    Sources: http://hdr.undp.org/en/data/map/ and http://www.numbeo.com/quality-of-life/rankings_by_country.jsp

I'm sure that there is other reasons why Colombians go to play in Mexico even if it is 2nd Division aside from the pay.

    ;)

Cordoba is a beast though. He'll probably be on the move due to all the events happening in Chiapas with the club being bought and all.

    BTW to everyone else:

I am a fan of Jhon Cordoba since he plays for the Club I support and I was coming here to see if anybody knew his situation for Apretura 2013. Sorry if I offend any of you pero I was just setting the record straight on the ignorant unfounded accusations made by some of the posters. Sorry pero no ay que decir mamadas si no saben.
