Nike are working hard on making him better known. Because his play was mainly still in Brasil, it's hard for people to grasp who he is besides using youtube, or going on Nike.com/nike commercials. He's almost a kind of hidden treasure to casual footie followers. Once he starts playing at Barca'...and depending on his success...he'll give messi a run for his money as far as 'exposure' goes. He'll take ALexis Sanchez' place too.
I found out about Neymar via Youtube and fell in love instantly. But then he betrayed my heart by signing for Barcelona
iam getting that colorway. i have one soccer cleats left which is the adizero micoach, i hate the new adizero and mercurial. and have no other option but the hyper venom. i hope this color way is real.
I hadn't seen this posted yet, but Josh has pictures of these up on his site. He's got three "Buy it now" links, but only the SoccerPro page is currently working. http://soccerreviewsforyou.com/nike_premier_review
Anyone have Vapor II or III for sale? Im looking for sz 9.5 or 10 US and can be used or new. Message me if you have anything. Thanks.
I disagree that neymar isn't well known because i know a damn lot of people who don't follow the sport who know exactly who the man is. The problem is most people haven't really watched him play a full game and have only seen the skill compilations and have no idea what he is actually like.
I think the HyperVenom line was a response to the weight reduction on all of the Adidas boots. At one point I think the Predator AdiPower weighed the same as the Vapors. Neymar is a big/rising name, especially with his recent transfer. I think having (for now assuming Ronaldo doesn't leave) El Clasico, Ronaldo vs. Neymar, Vapor vs. HyperVenom is a good Nike Ad campaign. I think I read somewhere that Barcelona's affiliation with Nike and Nike's sponsorship for both sides was something that $trongly per$uaded Neymar to join Barcelona. Hopefully Neymar flops as big as his hair does with out gel, but that's besides the point. I agree that it seems the big companies have kinda scrapped the gimmicks. We don't see the random front cleat "technology" from Lotto or the SuperFlys (thank goodness ...and don't get me started about FlyWire or the PowerSpine). I have my suspicions about the front cleat of the NitroCharge, I'll have to get my hands on them before anything. I love how the Adizero's have stuck to basics to keep the cleats extremely lightweight. Same with some of the Puma boots. Thee Glass-Fibre Chassis for the Vapor Line is extremely aesthetically pleasing, but I feel like it might be a little over kill! In the end, I'm kinda sad the Total 90 line is gone. I never wore them, but my brothers who had wider feet loved them and stuck with them. I know the HyperVenoms are replacing the T90's, but with that stud configuration and weight reduction, it reminds me a lot like the Super Ligeras. Both have similar stud configurations, both have had mixed reviews, both are ugly AF in my opinion!
The forefoot. I think that Barcelona, the club itself, pays less wages than Madrid (Santos accepted offers from both clubs, so I'd assume the transfer fees offered by the two were similar). But after Nike sponsorship and endorsement, I think Neymar would receive more $ from joining Barca.. And regarding the "EnergyPulse" stiffener in the forefoot of the NCs, I think it has less to do with the addition of the stiffer plastic piece in the forefoot but rather the placement of the center support stud. It's placed forwards more compared to all the other SprintFrames with the Traxion 2.0 stud pattern.
Can anyone from the states verify that nike's football boot guarantee is now 1 year as thats what the wrote whilst returnin my boots! On the plus side people in the uk can still sen boots to nike sunderland
Here is my thought on the HyperVenom from a design standpoint. They are minimal footwear in the vein of barefoot running shoes and this could be a very good thing, even if the concept is new and will most likely need some fine tuning. I have struck a lot of balls messing around in my New Balance Minimus and I can say that the strike in that type of shoe is closer to how I strike with my barefoot than other bulkier and more padded shoes or boots. I have a rep for being all about leather and tradition, but that isn't true, I just hate needless fluff that isn't innovation when it claims to be. This shoe might be getting a lot right.....but the jury is out. This might be the first time that the ACC serves a true purpose, as well.
Checked on FB and seems that Gotze wont be a "Posterboy" so to say with the others like Neymar and Rooney for the HyperVenoms
I think it's marketed as an attackers boot, with the commercial saying something like "A new breed of attack". This is kind of what they tried to do with the Laser IV, when they lured Pato and Pazzini into T90s. Now that it looks like almost all the best Nike attackers, except Ronaldo (and Ibra?) are going to wear the Hypervenoms, it might actually make people believe this is the best choice for strikers. Neymar, Rooney, Lewandowski, Higuain, Klose, Gomez, Welbeck etc. Pretty solid names tbh, I can imagine they'd be selling a lot just because of that. I like the Black-ish/Crimson colorway, if it comes in AG I'll probably get it. Also like the fact that the AG sole plate also has the split toe. The Nitrocharge AG doesn't come with the energy stuff in the sole. I don't really think it makes much of a difference, but with it being one of the main selling points of the shoe I think it's a bit ironic to have AG versions without it. What's also annoying about Adidas' AG sole plates is that they don't have the same external heel counter, making them look like (and feel a bit like) low-end versions.
Have to disagree with you on the fly wire part. Fly wire was one of the reason why the Legend Elites were one of the best leather boots for me.
Gotta get my hands on a pair of Premiers!! Look like a great boot, lots of great features which I have been looking for.
