no, I'm much more of a NPSL supporter than a FC Buffalo fan. I'm really hoping to get to a few Clarkstown Eagles games who play in the Keystone flight this summer.
I hear ya. I watched the stream. I try to watch any that I can. Hopefully the NPSL will continue growing. I see a lot of positive things happening.

In a game with 27 fouls, six yellow cards, 20 shots and 1004 fans in attendance, FC Buffalo came one goal shy of a point in their last game before the playoffs, losing to Detroit City FC, 2-1, at Robert E. Rich All-High Stadium.

Thank you to our fans… We saw incredible progress off-the-field. Thanks to you, we absolutely throttled our previous marks for attendance. Nearly 800 supporters turned out on average for each game, culminating in 1004 fans in our home finale against Detroit City FC. That crowd was the largest for a regular season match in our history and second in all matches to the 3800+ who came out for the Lord Bedlington Cup win in 2011. Our crowd, led vocally by The Situation Room, is one of the most respected in the league. The chants, the music, the colors… everything you provide to our team is at our core. Together we’re aiming for bigger things for Buffalo soccer and we’re getting there.

http://buffalonews.com/2016/12/24/10-thoughts-fc-buffalos-first-tryout/ Thirty-seven soccer players had an opportunity Friday to make an impression on FC Buffalo head coach Brendan Murphy and his staff, competing in possession drills, small-sided games and an extended 11-vs.-11 scrimmage at Sahlen's Sports Park. When Murphy first addressed the tryout participants, he was adamant that he would not sign anyone from the day's session, a departure from years past, and that he hoped to carry a smaller roster in 2017 - probably 26-28 players - compared to the 40+ players who suited up for the Wolves in 2016. The fifth-year head coach also confirmed that the club will house out-of-town players again this year, which further narrows the slots available for local players.

http://www.fcbuffalo.org/fc-buffalo-names-butcher-as-new-manager/ FC Buffalo named Frank Butcher the fourth manager in club history on Monday, succeeding Brendan Murphy who left to join the Rochester Rhinos coaching staff. “I am a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area,” Butcher said. “I grew up here, played soccer here, and coach here. I love this town and I love the soccer community here. I am excited to be facing this new challenge in my coaching career.” Joining Butcher on the sidelines are a pair of former Blitzers. Casey Derkacz and John Grabowski will assist Butcher. Butcher was an assistant coach at the University at Buffalo for two seasons after four years playing for the Bulls. The North Tonawanda High School product was the second-leading scorer at UB in two of his four seasons, and was Academic All-Conference. Currently the head coach at Grand Island High School, Butcher is the two-time defending WNY Coach of the Year. His Vikings are 28-0 in league play over the past two seasons, New York State finalists in 2016 and state semifinalists in 2015. Overall, he boasts a 96-34-3 record as the boss at Grand Island.
