Dude you always come across like your opinion is fact and what you say is how the whole world feel's, well let me tell you, your wrong... For a start R9 had a much superior galactico team, and couldn't get anywhere near 50 goals in 1 season.

Honour's do not count, you can't compare CR to R9 when CR is little over halfway through his career...

But seeing as you love your stat's heres a few for you, CR has won a champions league, has Ronaldo?? CR will over take Ronaldo in the goalscoring chart's in champions league. The best competition in the world some would claim. Oh and another stat to throw in your face... 156 games and 157 goals (or something very close to that) at Real madrid, he's well on course to smash Raul's record...infact CR and Messi make every FC/ST over the last decade look poor...

Are you for real? Precision shooting? You not seen some of those long ranger's only Ronaldo could dream of?

I've never, never seen R9 do anything like that, if i'm wrong well I stand corrected..R9 has better striker instints but most certainly not Precision.

CR's dribble's aren't real?? Erm what on earth am i meant to say to that? He's left many great defenders on their toes. ( a few in the vid to mention, Puyol, Nesta, Maldini, Cole, Alves, Pique and many more) Here's a video to back that up...

    Passing CR
    Dribbling - equal
    ball control - R9
    Shooting - CR
    First touch equal

    CR win's again...

I love Ronaldo and respect he's a legend and arguably the best striker ever, i grew up loving the guy.

Jesus, CR is hugely under-rated by some. Way more then i first thought infact.

I do not care if you love or hate Ronaldo. (I do not hate CR7 BTW)

Your rating is totally wrong and in a normal perspective.

    1- SHOOTING:
It's NOT even a CONTEST. There is ONLY ONE Ronaldo - even go to Real Madrid board!
Real Ronaldo was among the BEST ever in precision: 1goal/2 shots on goal/ 3,4 shots
CR7 1goal per 3,4 shots on goals / 8,9 shots (FACT) in average career!

Now just for your own info of WC level:
    PRECISION:
    Ronaldo 8goals/19shots on target/28shots WC2002 >>> CR7 1goal/9shots on target/ 21total shots WC10! GOSH

Just because you OVERATED CR7, it did not make him "under rated" to YOUR OWN standard!

Why they called the " REAL " Ronaldo? because there is a "fake" one

There Is Only One Ronaldo—The Rest Are Just Cristianos ...

Why the Real Ronaldo will always be the brilliant Brazilian

The real Ronaldo: The end of the road for one of soccer’s greats

By Brett Day, Yahoo! Contributor NetworkTuesday, Feb 22, 2011

There is one name in the world of soccer that is known around the world, while there are many players who go by the name of Ronaldo, there will only ever be one who will be labeled the best Ronaldo of them all, and that is the original Ronaldo who burst on to the scene as a young lad who started his playing career at just 16 years old. The Ronaldo I am talking about is none other than Ronaldo Luis Nazario Da Lima.
    A true legend

    ...

    Who is the real Ronaldo?!

Ten years ago it was only Ronaldo Luis Nazario. ‘Il Fenomeno’, one of the greatest attackers of all time. Maybe the greatest!

I gave up with you straight after this ^^, your ignorance is beyond reasoning...

Still I agree it's not even a contest i mean In one corner we have a fit, young Cristiano Ronaldo, and in the other, a knackered, crocked and overweight legend...i know whom i'd put my money on to win that bout. ;)

The contest was over before it even began, quit being so blinkered and appreciate one of the all time great's, (CR). Ronaldo had one hell of a career, however CR look's likely to better it

Ding, Ding, CR wins!!! :D (Only just) ;)

    YOU SHOULD GIVE UP -
You're the ONE who IGNORE the FACT: and still DARE to claim Ronaldo "dream to shoot like" his fake ... and wannabe Ronaldo????

REAL Ronaldo 8goals/19shots on goals = 50% successful rate at WC level
Fake Ronaldo 1goal (PK btw)/ 9shots on goal = 11% successful rate at WC level - actually 0% successful rate since that goal was a penalty kick)

You should say CR7 could ONLY DREAM to score HALF of Ronaldo goals at WC level when he retires - forget winning it!

Dribbling - R9 >>>> CR7 ... sorry but CR7 is stiff as a board. He has no ginga. R9 had dozens of trickes in his repertoire. Don't get me started on CR7s stupid and useless stepovers.
    Heading - CR7 ... no contest
Pace - Equal (pre-injury R9), but with the ball I'd go with R9
Technique - R9 for me, his touch was much better than CR7
Finishing - R9 ... didn't have to use power as CR7 does. CR7 does have long range shot better than R9, but his conversion rate is also poor from distance.
Versatility - Here I think CR7 wins. Although young Ronaldo could play on the wing.
    Vision - R9 ... underrated passer.
Hardwork - CR7 ... this is where he kills R9. R9 had more natural talent, but CR7 is a true professional athlete.

CR7 scores loads of goals in part because he takes about 10 shots a game. Also you can't compare both at Real because 1-Ronaldo was post-injury (different player) and 2-Yes the team had talent but was completely unbalanced after the 1st year. Not to mention that I think La Liga is much more unbalanced today.

R9's injuries really robbed us of the prime of his career.

I don't like these comparisons as if we were in the Pro Evolution Soccer. In efficiency and statistics, I think Cristiano is the same level as Ronaldo. His career in clubs too. But it is clear that their technique, ability, skill, style of play, FOOTBALL, are lower than the brazilian Ronaldo. I feel kind of silly to have to say... it's so obvious. Now it depends on what each considers most important.

Cristiano can fight with Henry, Bergkamp, Baggio, Figo and others, but no with Ronaldo.

Compare attributes like a video game is what makes some people insanity say that Cristiano is more complete and better than Messi.

So? it did not mean any thing!
1- Did those goals BUY him more trophies? NO only 1 liga just like Ronaldo in 2003.
2- Did those goals buy him more ballon Dor' or WPOY? NO Ronaldo still held the record with 3 WPOY + 2 ballon dors + 3 WPOY by wordlsoccer ...
3- Those 188goals are great at the surface, but stir itup, one would see half of those gaols were MEANINGLESS in the games when Real THRASHED out other liga teams with 4,5 goals win!

4- Plus, you had to add that 188goals came from nearly a possible 1000shots ... Imagine if Ronaldo had 1000 shots with a malfunction Galacticos? He would have scored 300goals!

    ===========================================

YOU have made 2 ignorances beyond reasoning:
1- You came up with some thing w/po any good facts and basics
2- You came to a wrong forum (this is Brazil ) and dare to challenge?
    \
I suggest you go back to the 3 famous and lengthy threads "Messi vs CR7" and win there before you come here NEXT!

I'm just posting the facts, no need to blow your trumpet. Your ignorance chooses to ignore or manipulate the fact's...One which i wil do now, you go on about Ronaldo needing let's say 10 shots for 1 goal (grossly exgarrated), maybe that's because he's try's to score insane goals? Put him in the box with those 10 shots (like most of R9's goals), and i promise CR would score many more.

Im not trying to win anything, do you really think after being a member particularly in the Brazil forum, id then wish to flame and troll on the people I respect? Im fully aware being in a Brazil forum most Brazilians would back R9.

I was merely having a debate, but as I first said, you always spout rubbish like you did in the rivaldo thread.

I'm finished on the subject now. Thanks for the debate :)

If you're a a "pro" CR7 fan, I am sure you know how to look for his STATS in shooting:

    At CLUBS:
    - ManU; 77goals over no less than 750 shots
    - Real:
    09: 26goals/211shots
    10 40goals/250shots
    11 46goals/264
12 26goals/ 183 (this is his BEST ever season in shooting)

    With Portugal NT:
    WC2006: 1goal/20shots
    WC2010: 1goal/21shots

Now what rubbish and what can you DEFEND for that? NO WAY
I am glad you do not put up a debate. I am NOT like you saying without FACTS, and I do NOT guess or "promise" something NOT HAPPENING!

    ========================================================
In case you did not watch much (to claim Roanldo scored inside the box),
here are 2 goals from outside the box and when Roanldo was OLD and FAT: these are all IMPORTANT games BTW

(the 2nd looping was just worldclass and CR7 could only dream to do so)

Another great "precised SHOT" from out side the box, with his LEFT rival Milan - Inter

I'm not sure what you wrote,

but are you saing that Ronaldo is going to be a commentator for next years world cup, and there is a serious conflict of interest? Is that right? Can you elaborate on this conflict?

Yes. It's simple: Ronaldo owns the company that manages the image (contracts, advertising, television appearances, other things) of some great players including Neymar and others. Additionally, he is involved with the organization of the tournament, as a important member of the Organizing Committee (Comite Organizador Local).

What will he say if anything bad happens, a failure in organization? or Neymar do something wrong? Commentator (I think) to be impartial and honest.

I've never been a big fan of these sort of topics and this type of thread may be better suited elsewhere with a wider array of opinions, but I figured this would create interesting discussion even here. I'm sure we all have our biases here. I still have a bitter taste in my mouth with the way Ronaldo handled his return to Brazil, but I will continue to be thankful for the memories he has given me wearing the yellow shirt.

This topic has popped up around the internet on a number of sites after Cristiano Ronaldo tied Ronaldo's goal mark of 414. Despite being younger than Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo had played in more games to reach this mark -- 54 more games (CR7 with 669 total and R9 with 615).

    http://esporte.ig.com.br/futebol/20...ls-de-ronaldo-fenomeno-em-jogos-oficiais.html

EDIT: Changed my mind. Fits in well with this thread.
