That's basically what I would do. Then add Gonzilla back for the CCL game and hopefully have Donovan and Keane available on the bench-- although I guess at this point it seems more likely we'll have Donovan than Keane...
As much as I'd like to see the team focus on Monterey, I am still hoping we get a point or maybe even swipe a win. The reason is that with the new rules, I really don't think the "just get to the playoffs" formula can be totally trusted when we could end up playing the Final in Houston or SKC. We got really lucky last year that Houston had the same kind of year we did before taking off in the playoffs. Playing the final at home is huge in a one-off game, so I'd sure like to see us take the Shield this year and ensure that. Still, Monterey is really tough and making the CCL final is a priority. This is one of those times where I am glad I don't have Bruce's job. No matter what he does, he's going to get criticized from some corner.
I agree I want 3 points from TFC but we also have a ridiculous salary cap and it kills our depth. No team in the world would play the same starting xi in 2 matches in such a short time span.
Why no solid info on Robbie? We have a game tomorrow and we haven't even heard if he's back with the team.
Because he plays for the LA Galaxy who, in turn, are managed by Bruce Arena. Good luck finding accurate injury info on any of Bruce's players.
For the curious, likely TFC starting lineup ------------Bendik -Russell-Califf-O'Dea-Eckersley -Bostock-Dunfield-Hall-Ephraim -------------Silva ----------Earnshaw Frei can start in place of Bendik, but not match fit yet
I love it when we're the bar everyone wants to play against. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...sappointed-not-face-la-galaxys-stars-saturday Some great quotes from Nelson in there, including a great one about underwater lawn mowing and Bruce Arena. Seems like a solid coach to be honest. Still want to win with our teenagers though!
mlssoccer.com says Keane is in LA having his injury looked at. Doesn't look like he'll play Saturday.

This lineup means we are preparing for Wednesday's game. I expect we will see Sarvas and Magee subbed out for sure.
For those interested: LA Galaxy @LAGalaxy40m #lagalaxy starting XI: Cudicini; DeLaGarza, Gonzalez, Leonardo, Dunivant(c); Franklin, Sarvas, Juninho, Stephens; Magee, McBean LA Galaxy @LAGalaxy40m#lagalaxy subs vs @torontofc: Rowe, Meyer, Garcia, Jimenez, Clark, Villarreal & Donovan.
Is that girl like 12? Yes, she's lovely, but she looks barely legal! Sheez. In other news, I was also expecting Omar to be rested, but maybe he's still running off of the adrenaline high? I hope he's rested enough for Wednesday. And Landon being on the bench must mean he's getting minutes. After so few days!!!! Guess he wasn't sitting on his couch eating ho hos after all? In all seriousness, he probably will only get 10 minutes to get moving, but still good news as that means he's probably a longer sub on Wednesday.
McBean and Magee should be interesting - looking forward to seeing with they can do, with support from the mids, of course. Hope Leonardo has a good game - Go Galaxy!
Sitting here thinking about it, I wish Bruce had rested more people. I guess he's hoping the international break was enough rest. Slightly worried about that after last year. I hope he uses his subs wisely.
