It's time for a new Other Teams thread, the old one had grown incredibly long. We are going to try something new this time around. The Other Teams thread is split into two threads, in order to make it easier for those who are not interested in stuff outside of Italy: - This thread is for discussion everything not involving an Italian team: EPL, MLS, and so on. - The other thread is for discussion on other Italian teams and ONLY other Italian teams. Some examples: - Milan plays Barcelona this week, that goes in Other Teams ** Italian Edition ** [R]. - Barcelona plays Real Madrid in the weekend that goes in Other Teams ** Everyone Else ** [R]. Pretty simple, so please keep it on topic. Off topic posts will be binned.
arsenal play bayern tonight in CL. i haven't followed bayern matches this season. i wanna see their defense performance against non bundesliga teams.
barcelona this... barcelona that... messi... barcelona, barcelona, barcelona... blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...
The 2 legged affair makes this a difficult one to call. Bayern are monsters, conceded only 7 goals, scored 57 but I am sure they will be happy to take a score draw tonight and be confident on their home form. Arsenal generally do well at home in Europe even against the bigger sides and I think they will be looking to react after the weekend. If Bayern really go at them they could win by 2 or more but I think they will take it cagey. Also Arsenals speed in attack might ask some questions against Bayerns slower centre backs, about the only weak link in the side
Not sure who to root for. Arsenal are always a team that are fun to watch lose, but Bayern getting knocked out now would help with Italy's conquest for the fourth spot.
I'm not cheering for anyone, just hoping for a good game. Although I personally think Munich are going to win CL this year, as much as it pains me to say that. That said Munich scores.
Arsehole Wanker gotta come up with some magic tricks to turn this tie around at halftime, otherwise another trophyless season for Assnal
Copa Lib nights are always good entertainment. Decent match on at the moment Olimpia-Universidad de Chile. UdC aren't the force they have been previously as they have lost 4 big players over the past two years - Junior Fernandes, Marcelo Diaz, Angelo Henriquez and Eduardo Vargas (all to European teams). They also lost their coach Jorge Sampaoli in the summer as he now manages the Chilean national side. They were so exciting under him, reminded me of the South American Zeman, goalfests week-in week-out. Chile will be one to watch at the 2014 World Cup with him in charge.
Bayern 3 - 1 Arsenal fair score I guess. Arsenal's goal came after a corner that should never have been given, but Bayern's 3rd goal kind of looped in luckily. If Giroud didn't hit that volley straight at the keeper it could have been a different story.
How good were Zenit last week in Europa league against Liverpool last week? I didn't see the game I'm thinking about throwing them into my Europa League Accumulator tomorrow night. Their odds of 4/1 to win seem generous.
Gremio are dismantling Fluminese away in the Copa Liobertadores 0-3 now with Eduardo Vargas just scoring. Gremio have assembled quite a strong team this season with the likes of Vargas, Dida, Cris, Elano, Moreno, Ze Roberto, Barcos, Andre Santos and Welliton (formerly of Spartak Moscow). If it clicks they will be Copa Lib contenders.
Deco ahs just came on for Flu. On a side note, I was watching Velez earlier and Fernando Gago scored for them tonight. I had no idea he had left Valencia to return to Argentina on loan.
I don't know if anyone else has been keeping up with this Pele vs Neymar feud that's been going on. Pele said Neymar is just an average player and doesn't show up for the Brazilian NT. Neymar's agent has hit back at him claiming that if Pele played today he'd be inferior to Neymar and he's jealous. I wouldn't be surprised to see Neymar getting a shit storm for his.
