And for keeping the sun out of our eyes. Home opener is scheduled for 4pm and the sun sets at 6pm, so west side will be viewing silhouettes for part of the game. I remember mentioning it to FO last year, but apparently nobody remembered. The 1:30pm start time for the RSL game on April 6 will be fantastic as long as it is a nice sunny day.
There must have been some more screw ups because now Rapids at Sporks is listed as August 31 on Rapids website. So just a 10 day break between games.
Just thought of it this AM to be honest. I'm also looking at the summer Portland and Seattle games as trippers.
Question: The schedule notes that the Portland/Colorado games are on NBCSports twice (three?) times; has this become a rivalry or something? If so that's news to me.
My thought was maybe they think that we will be equally matched. They want to show off the Portland atmosphere, and that atmosphere is even better when the game is competitive. Or it could just be Portland is getting a lot of nationally televised games.
