I thought I'd make a new thread, since the last one was for the 2011 U-20 WC Cycle under Ney Franco.. new era, new thread. Brazil's preliminary squad for the South American U20 Championship, which will take place in Argentina in January: Goleiros: Matheus - Corinthians Jordi - Vasco da Gama Luis Gustavo - Vitória Zagueiros: Samir - Flamengo Marquinhos - Roma Doria - Botafogo Luan - Vasco da Gama Laterais: Douglas - Nautico Mansur - Vitoria Wallace - Fluminense Fabinho - Real Madrid Meias: Jadson - Botafogo Misael - Grêmio Talisca - Bahia Gabriel - Vitória Filipe - Rio Ave Felipe Anderson - Santos Rafael Alcântara - Barcelona Mattheus - Flamengo Guilherme Biteco - Grêmio Fred - Internacional Atacantes: Marcos Junior - Fluminense Bruno Mendes - Botafogo Ademilson - São Paulo Adryan - Flamengo Leandro - Grêmio Willie - Vitória
Roma doesn't want to lose Marquinho for 5 matches, so he won't play the South American u20 tournament Antonio Carlos (Corinthians) was called in his place
hated when clubs deny player permission to represent their countries.... being selected to play for country is the biggest honor a player can get... []__[]
It is still a solid team. Adryan and Ademilson are going to be great players. They played well in the U-17 tournament. This is a deep squad.I like it alot. A mix of European based players and south american based players I wonder how that will work? But it makes me very excited. We can win with this deep team.
I know ESPN aired it last cycle, wouldn't be surprised if Bein picked up the rights to it in the States, idk about abroad.
Stacked team offensively. Ademilson, Bruno mendes, hopefully Adryan plays to his potential, Rafael alcantara, Fred, mattheus. I excited to see watch these games.
What mix? is basically a team of brasil clubs, only three european players listed and alcantara needs to accept the invitation and already was said that marquinos wont play. So that's one european based player. Also anybody knows why lucas piazon wasnt invited. []__[]
http://sambafoot.com/en/news/40931_...for_south_american_under-20_championship.html Well it looks like Rafina is going to play the Selecao. I wonder if he is as good as his brother Thiago.
In portuguese - Desconvocados neste domingo Jordi - Vasco da Gama (Goleiro) Filipe - Rio Ave Gabriel - Vitória Guilherme Biteco - Grêmio - LISTA FINAL Goleiros: Matheus - Corinthians Luis Gustavo - Vitória Zagueiros: Samir - Flamengo Antonio Carlos - Corinthians Doria - Botafogo Luan - Vasco da Gama Laterais: Douglas - Nautico Mansur - Vitoria Wallace - Fluminense Igor Juliao - Real Madrid Meias: Jadson - Botafogo Misael - Grêmio Talisca - Bahia Felipe Anderson - Santos Rafael Alcântara - Barcelona Lucas Candido - Atlético-MG Mattheus - Flamengo Fred - Internacional Atacantes: Marcos Junior - Fluminense Bruno Mendes - Botafogo Ademilson - São Paulo Adryan - Flamengo Leandro - Grêmio - MINHA OPINIAO Goleiros: Conheço apenas o Matheus, é um excelente goleiro. Jadson surgiu bem no Botafogo. 1º T Matheus Caldeira, Jadson, Luan, Doria e Mansur; Misael, Felipe Anderson e Mattheus; Fred, Marcos Junior e Ademilson. 2º T Luis Gustavo, Igor Julião, Antonio Carlos, Samir e Douglas; Lucas Candido (Gabriel) e Felipe; Adryan, Leandro e Biteco; Bruno Mendes 4x1 vs Nova Iguaçu GOLS: Bruno Mendes (2), Dória, Mattheus (penalti) Luiz Gustavo (Vitória); Filipe (Rio Ave), Dória (Botafogo), Luan (Vasco) e Mansur (Vitória); Misael (Grêmio), Felipe Anderson (Santos) e Mattheus (Flamengo); Adryan (Flamengo), Marcos Júnior (Fluminense) e Ademílson (São Paulo) BRUNO MENDES FEZ PARTE DO TIME QUE ENTROU NO SEGUNDO TEMPO. 2x1 vs Volta Redonda
Good coach at working with and developing youth. Luckily he was selected by Ney Franco when he was still at the CBF, before Marin pulled out his political maneuver against Andrés. Emerson and Ney worked at the rival and both share the same approach to the game. He favors attacking, possession-based football, playing from the back. I like those call-ups a lot, but wanted to add that Adryan is a meia, and he needs to be played like one. There are a few guys I don't know like all the laterais and the meias Jadson, Misael and Talisca, anyone got anything on them? Let's hope EA continues on with the focus of developing the players and isn't excessively pressured to deliver results over good football by that dinosaur Marin. The call-up looks promising.
In that case I will tape the eye lids open for the early morn games - with a bit of luck maybe Brazil and Argentina will make the final and we're all treated some Sambango.
GROUP A: Argentina Bolivia Chile Colombia Paraguai GROUP B: Brasil Equador Peru Uruguai Venezuela Brasil games: 10/01 - vs Equador - San Juan 12/01 - vs Uruguai - Bilino Polje 16/01 - vs Venezuela - San Juan 18/01 - vs Peru - San Juan Do not know who will broadcast the competition for Brazil. In 2011, ESPN had the rights.
Globo and PFC (Brasileirão only, I think) never transmitted. Do not know if it will pass now. It's hard to say. Most are at the same stage of their careers. For me, Doria, Fred, Rafael Alcantara, Adryan, Bruno Mendes are the stars.
Wallace e Ademilson are at the same level as Adryan.. tbh this team is more balanced than others, not real "stars" that will make you say WOW compared to 2011 where you had Neymar, Coutinho, Oscar and Lucas, and in 09 there was Ganso, Giuliano, Walter, and Douglas Costa.. this year you have Rafinha and Adryan, but the "star" factor won't really be there.. best players might be in defense this time around.
These names are based on the famous ''hype'' and also by what they did in their times. Adryan destroying when younger and has played well in the first team Flamengo. I believe it is better than Ademilson in this moment. Wallace barely played in the first team of Fluminense. So I placed in the top five. The rest played very well in the Campeonato Brasileiro (Doria, Fred, Bruno Mendes) and Rafael Alcantara is in Barcelona. But it is no guarantee that these five are the best Brazilian players in South American U20. Another is the spoken name is Matheus (Bebeto's son). I find it very slow and dispersive, but he is the typical number 10 classic. say they he training very well. For me: 2011 >> 2013 = 2009
Seriously? I see Matheus closer to a 10 than a Renato Abreu (a CM) He is left-handed, has technique and playing near the attackers. The problema is that it is very slow and seems uninspired, did not show much good in the pros.
I make the comparison because when I watch him play he really is only effective in dead ball situations , he has an awesome left foot but that doesn't mean he is effective with it in open play . He gives the ball away to easy and like you said he is slow and uninspired. He should be playing deeper Flamengo putting him as an outside attacking midfielder was a disaster. I don't see how a guy can be a number 10 if he can't control the ball or complete a pass. @LucasGomes You can type in Portugues to me , i can read it fine I just hate typing in it.
