I see good things for this team. Let's welcome them into the Serie A. I am a BSC fan 100% but I am keeping an eye on this small team, and what it has done- not to mention that they crank out talent as well.

    I. del Valle nutre su cantera con costeños
    http://ww1.elcomercio.com/noticiaEC.asp?id_noticia=317573&id_seccion=9

I was watching the game between Independiente vs D. Quito. Independiente deserved to win. Unfortunately, L. Checa scored on the 90th minute. This team plays well and is complicated. F. Guerrero and E. Vaca are two good players that this team have.

i heard earlier today that Aguinaga is a candidate to be the coach for Independiente. Aguinaga publicly said he's willing to assume/consider the offer if it were offered.

Poor Narciso. scored 28 goals (i dont even know how he did it) and is going back to Barcelona where he failed miserably 2 seasons ago. He should have been smarter and taken off to mexico and made money instead. The train of thought of some of these players is hard to understand sometimes.

Talking about Independiente. Have you guys watch this video? That is crazy that every sub. group they have are in the final (if that is what I understood correctly). I wonder why other clubs don't put as much time and money developing youth as this team. It's crazy awesome.

they're the perfect example of a great institution. They have the most potential out of any team
    in the country to grow.

Let me add on to this...

you guys really really need to check these numbers out it's just insane how good independiente is in their youth divisons. Even their Reserve team in the Torneo de Reservas is playing the Final of the campeonato this year.

I don't quite remember, but i think this is two years in a row that Independiente is unstoppable in all the youth divisions. Beyond impressive. It's no wonder that teams like Tottenham keep their eyes on these kids.

Looks like what I said a while ago might come true. They might just be champs within the next 5 years or so. What a model of a team.

Wow. Impressive game today by this team. This team and U de Loja are the only teams representing Ecuador great! They showed up and played with heart and played smart. Amazing.

I hope this team, Loja, and Catolica make it big.

When Sornoza is at 100% like he was today he is insanely good. I don't understand why some commentators have lately said that he's not having a good season. I highly disagree with those comments. Although I do say Sornoza isn't ready to make the leap to a European league, I don't agree that he doesn't have the talent to eventually launch himself there. He isn't as threatening this season as he was last season, but he's still very important and fundamental to Independiente, especially in games like today. Great corners, and creativity.

That last goal Independiente scored reminds me of the type of plays Chucho would generate on the NT and America. Sornoza generates that type of futbol through the middle a lot. If only he could pull back and help with pressuring, intercepting, and recovering he'd be 100% complete and ready for the big leagues. In today's futbol, defending beings with the strikers and I think that's something he needs to work on.

Either way, I'd highly consider him for the next Qualifier if he keeps it up. There's no doubt he could triumph in Mexico if a team were to pick him up and i'm positive there's gonna be a handful checking up on him (if they aren't already). This kid can ball.

And Gonzalez's goal (the last one) shows the quality that this kid posses. I will be surprised to not see him in Europe a year from now at most, unless something goes wrong with him such as an injury or other issues. That goal was sick.

Fernando Guerrero's first goal was also a golazo. This kid is still on time to save himself. IMO he needs to go to mexico and make his move out of Independiente. He's failed playing in Europe about 3 times (in Real Madrid Castilla, Burnley, and then Villarreal B). The Mexican teams have kept an eye on him in the past year or so. If I were him I'd make the move. I have no doubt he'd triumph in Mexico as well. He has great qualities but never reached his potential...at least not yet.

Today was a bad elimination, in my opinion IDV might want to reconsider their goals, the championship has been somewhat elusive to them, they have shown time after time that when push comes to shove they lack the character/experience to go through with it, the good news is that they have 3-4 players that are in demand right now, perhaps it's time to cash in on their talent. Jonathan Gonzales seems to be destined to the Bundesliga according to Gonzales himself, Sornoza, Pineida and even Guerrero should get national and International offers which should bring the club 8-12 million $$ which knowing their excellent management will be put to good use, they aleady have the best U-18/16 in the country, maybe it's time to promote.

The post was Independiente's savior today lol. If anyone didn't catch it, Colo Colo hit the post 3 times in the last 10 minutes of the game. They've been kinda lucky in the Libertadores, they could've been out before the group stages if Guarani didn't miss that penalty in the 90th minute!!

Either way, congrats to IDV for making to the Round of 16 of the Libertadores. Lots of respect for them getting to this position while using young Ecuadorian players.

Thank you once again Ind del Valle! I can't believe neither Liga or Emelec play even close to good as this team. No excuse. They should really study what Ind del Valle is doing with their schools and development.

Yes. Mina IMO the MVP of Ind del Valle. Probably IMO the best Ecuadorian defender. Yes. Even better than Erazo.

Who should I look out for tonight in Independiente? What sort of style should I expect? I must admit, I haven't seen them play since the 2014 Copa Libertadores and that wild match they had vs. CASLA
