Obviously, with pro/rel they'd still be alive.

If you want to go there..than fine...RM didn't start in PDL, they started in USL-2 and self-relegated to PDL. and yes if you had pro/rel you at least would have somebody to invest in any team when you have hope of going up.

    Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

When the ********, exactly, did I say anything about the route they took to where they are (as if I wouldn't know)?

And, yes, people would invest in shitty teams with no fans on the one in fifty chance they might get promoted so they could lose MORE money.

Except no, they wouldn't. That wouldn't happen. But proles like you keep on with this bullshit line of wishful thinking.

at least Real Maryland ceases operations during the off season, not like Excelcior Veldwezelt (Belgium) after 14 games

I saw that but looking at the worldwide leagues their are so many teams that you will have teams go into insolvency, but in U.S. it's at least 3 teams a year and that's alot, compared to how many clubs we have compared to other countries.

News Flash: Minor league soccer teams have a tough go of it in the United States and Canada. They always have and likely always will.

I know but it shouldn't be that way. I think their should be more leagues than can compete against USL at the amatuer level and a club should start at the ground up instead of renting high school stadiums...... small club office+ field with bleachers under their control and grow it locally.
