figured there's a growing popularity in K-League with passionate fans/supporters. post clips of Ultras/Supporters/서포터즈/울트라스. i'll try to not be biased towards Suwon and I'll start off with one that I normally wouldn't FC Seoul/FC 서울
Some really great commitments from these K-League fans. The Incheon United's Ultras! The Gangwon FC's Ultras!
FC Seoul's Ultras called as 'Copytos' as they are copying around other K-League team Ultras' songs. Very infamous in Ultras society. Here's my shot, for Seongnam's Ultras YF Boys - Hwanggi Cheongniondan.
Oh, this section should include banters. I still have a fond memory of having fun with Skull Crew (now they are frente.. I can't remember! french fries or something) Upper: 2011 FA Cup Final Seongnam v Suwon, Seongnam fans Below: 2008 K-League last game Suwon v Incheon, Suwon fans
just wondering, what kind of rivalries do we have in the K-league? I know Suwon and Seoul share an intense rivalry due to proximity and sponsorships (Samsung vs. LG). is the rivalry between pusan and kwangju (now that they have their own franchise in the league) the same as it is in KBO? and do gyungsang region teams (ulsan, pohang, gyungnam, pusan did i miss any?) hate each other?
Only Suwon-Seoul as far as I can tell. Busan and Gwangju rivalry doesn't exist because Busan have no fans and Gwangju are only 2 years old and hasn't really had the time to build a good fanbase. I think Seoul-Jeonbuk is a mini-rivalry simply because of their powerhouse status. I expect starting next year or in the future, Anyang-Seoul rivalry to be fierce. Hopefully they meet in an FA cup match since Anyang will be in K-League 2. If Bucheon 1995 are in the K-League 2 next year...maybe Bucheon-Jeju rivalry could exist. But again, only through Cup matches since they're in different tiers.
마계대전 ain't what it used to be...though it was awesome to beat Suwon in the FA Cup Finals last year for Seongnam. 영남더비 between Pohang and Ulsan has more history in the K League than other rivalries, and I hear it used to be far more intense than it currently is in the 90s.
